Hey Guys

Just got this email, so thought i'd share it round.. Only seems to be valid in Latvia only, but the price does seem fair. Although not quite in the range, but.. still worth a mention..

Maybe not long and they will sell some Linux KVM Machines (hint: @yourserverse)

Great news, we have launched our Windows VPS offer: https://www.yourserver.se/en/windows as well as our new website.

Windows servers are fully licensed (we are Microsoft SPLA partner) and activated, running on our latest generation hardware with Intel Xeon E5v3 processors, DDR4 RAM and Intel SSD arrays.
Prices start from just 12€ per month.

SPECIAL OFFER FOR EXISTING CUSTOMERS: use coupon code “WINDOWS” to get 30% lifetime discount for your Windows server. Get your Windows server now for just 8.40€ per month!

We'd love to hear your reviews :)

Best,
Michael from Yourserver.se.

Your plans and pricing are very familiar.....

  • @yourserverse you have not posted any offer lately, anything interesting coming soon?

  • Total Rubbish, and a single E5 Core running windows.. ouch

Extremely expensive and will offer poor performance

  • Thanks for the critics! The servers are powerful indeed.
Try them yourself: use LETWINDOWSTRY coupon for 50% discount on first month

  • How do you license that? Per client or per node and use HyperV? If you use DC and HyperV (which is like 150EUR per CPU) how do you intend to put like 100 Windows VPS on a single node?

You discontinued your UK location, or what happened with that one?

We use DC and KVM (which is like 150€ per CPU), but we do not oversell servers — RAM is preallocated and CPU overcommitment is factor is low (we use openstack as core for this cloud).

Yes, we discontinued our UK location to focus on our existing locations - Sweden and Latvia.

Interesting, did not know you can run clients VMs with a DC license when the host does not run HyperV, hm

If we assume your hardware/BW costs are like 7-8EUR on the smallest box that would leave like 5EUR for the license, at 300EUR/node (2 CPUs) and 2690s (eh you probably don't have that, i'd guess you have 2630s) with 48 (HT) cores you'd need 60 VMs per node (300/5) to recoup that costs, an overselling ratio of around 20% for CPU (i just assume your RAM and HDD is dedicated) - Not that bad.

Obviously CPU is not promoted as dedicated and is accepted to be shared by most users, so this is really a solid product line.

Yes MS is OK with this, the host OS doesn't need to be Windows.

  • Makes DC licensing much more viable, really, HyperV is good in performance but config and panel connection is very sub-par...

  • Is the 30 percent for current customers also available for new customers?

Ricardo, thanks for the noticing, it's up and running now :)

  • Do you accept Bitcoins?

    Yes, we do

  • Does Tor still get limited? I have downloaded all porn that ever existed and would like to use my bandwidth for something else now.
