    For all of our main product offering yes, however still supply the LET storage demand via Hetzner.

    Do you mean Why? or Where?

    Our main products are held at the same location as the SSD offer in our last post.

    Where : Telehouse Frankfurt

    Why : Enterprise hardware, alot more control over network & setup allows us to offer the standard products we offer without the hetzner limitations.

    Where Hetzner is great for the LET storage offers we run with, not the same control as running your own hardware.

    Hetzner Network

    Those things do not go well together. http://wiki.hetzner.de/index.php/Traffic/en
    You really can not provide unmetered transfer at Hetzner, not to mention 500 Mbps unmetered. Your entire node has 20-50 TB outgoing at most. I guess you're prepared to terminate people for "abuse" as soon as anyone starts to actually use the "unmetered" bandwidth.

    Having over 100+ client's on our OpenVZ offer, and have not had a single issue to-date, it states 500Mbps burst meaning the VM's have a hard limit of 500Mbps set, so if the bandwidth is available on the node then they can make use of up to 500Mbps.

    Hetzner only count outgoing bandwidth, which looking across our current OpenVZ is a small % compared to the free incoming bandwidth.

    However, yes our T&C does cover banned services/activity, so if someone was to be running any of the banned services then yes they would be terminated, however we have never terminated anyone for using bandwidth in a legit legal case, with quite a few people using us for backups which again is free & incoming, with smaller outgoing pushes during restorations.

    However thanks for the thought!

    Wouldn't be within LET limit's so not offered.

  • great deals, very good support, decent performance. have one box since april this year, no unsettled downtimes, only some maintenance at nighttimes which has been properly announced... can definitely recommend services from @AshleyUk !!

  • can i look benchmark KVM Vps ??? Speedtest and I/O :) thx

  • Can OP/someone on this node traceroute their IP and reply with just the Hetzner DC the hardware is in.

    For example their speedtest server is in RZ14(one of their Falkenstein DCs ).

    traceroute to speed.hetzner.de (88.198.222.222), 30 hops max, 60 byte packets 1 <redacted> 2 <redacted> 3 <redacted> 4 <redacted> 5 decix-gw.hetzner.de (80.81.192.164) 3.362 ms 3.408 ms 3.347 ms 6 core1.hetzner.de (213.239.245.6) 3.477 ms 3.323 ms 3.427 ms 7 core21.hetzner.de (213.239.245.217) 8.032 ms 8.054 ms core22.hetzner.de (213.239.245.178) 8.569 ms --> 8 juniper2.rz14.hetzner.de (213.239.245.126) 8.057 ms 8.049 ms 8.044 ms <-- 9 speed.hetzner.de (88.198.222.222) 8.051 ms 8.036 ms 8.036 ms

    Moving to KVM. Excellent support, excellent uptime and prices you cannot beat. Too good to be true? Has been reality for the last six months, so I cannot be dreaming anymore!
