New Plans on Tap

1. The Core
What is available?

OpenVZ Core VPS, a new kind of VPS from OAH focusing on High Bandwidth
Lowest plans start at 500GB Bandwidth reaching much higher if needed from bigger plans and add-on options

How can you offer this much bandwidth considering the bandwidth of your other plans?

Core VPS plans are routed via low cost links (no direct China), which currently is Hurricane Electric plus our peering links with SGIX, SOX and Equinix IX SG.
Though latency isn’t optimized, it does allow us the flexibility to provide more bandwidth without changing the price

What type of users would find this appealing?

Core users will be people who want high bandwidth, not care about latency in general and just want to push data.
Works nicely especially if you want to go for File Hosting or Backup Servers.

2. SSD VPS
What is available?

OpenVZ SSD VPS and KVM SSD VPS, offering better upgrade for performance.
SSD VPS gives better I/O speeds.

How exactly does SSD perform better than a normal HDD?

SSDs have no rotating parts and are purely memory chip based, that means you get really good read/write speeds along with low latency.
It will actually result in VPS performance increasing between 10 to 100 times faster.

ServerBear Benchmark
DD:1.4GB/s
FIO Read IOPS: 211286
FIO Write IOPS: 143596

What type of users would find this appealing?

With an SSD in tow inside your VPS it’s easier to run things that have performance as a critical element.
Examples where an SSD VPS will shine are for Database Servers, VPN, VOIP, or Game servers.

3. Still Here
Standard VPS

the Standard VPS for OpenVZ and KVM are still available and are still ready if you need something for more general hosting usage.

Networks are being added, New Plans and constantly tweaks being made to improve performance and adjust to any unfortunate circumstances. But things can always improve further!

  • Using OAH's OVZ 256 SSD and feels happy about it. Keep up the good work, fellas. :)

  • I'm satisfied with my kvm 512 SSD. :-)

  • I believe OAH is better than most of Indonesian IIX Provider :p
So, should I add one ?

  • @ErawanArifNugroho said: So, should I add one ?

    Definitely, bro.

  • This is tempting, so hard to find a ping that is so low to my home at Malaysia (get only 10ms).
But still looking for reason to get one. Anyone want to give me any inspiration?
128 look like too few to run any game server :P

  • @Andri said: Definitely, bro.

    Hahaha...
@Xima, I forgot about this, but do you have IPv6 ?

And, any plan for Christmas or End of year promo? :p

  • @ErawanArifNugroho said: I forgot about this, but do you have IPv6 ?

    I get 1 IPv4 and 10 IPv6.

  • Just ordered the $12/quarter plan, looks like a nice option for a Singapore-based VPN.

  • Somehow Uptime Robot report my vps down 2 times in the past 3 hours, 13 minutes 12 seconds and 12 minutes 30 seconds.

  • Current Server Time 2012-11-29 15:39:34
    Server Uptime 24Day10Hour26Minute

    Very stable VPS.

  • It's 56ms from Indonesia. I wonder if the 128mb would enough to host my web.
But I will broke my words for not buying another vps.

  • @smile93

VPS uptime has nothing to do with stability.
Sometimes when nodes have to undergo maintenance or something they can suspend all the containers to save uptime...

  • @budingyun I'm in OVZSSD01 nothing happened. And yours are?

  • There was a power trip at one of our datacentres, which lead to routing inconsistencies and some downtime. Has since been fixed.

  • @Andri said: I'm in OVZSSD01 nothing happened. And yours are?

    My vps on KVMSSD-01.

@Kenshin said: There was a power trip at one of our datacentres, which lead to routing inconsistencies and some downtime. Has since been fixed.

Thanks for the clarification. So far I have good time. :-)

  • Noticed you guys updated your LET ad as well. This new one is way better. and +1 to the offers here.
