mkz71mkz71 Member

Hi,

I need help to find a dedicated server for Magento site.
I have customer in Boston to do an online eCommerce.

I have tried to setup on my online.net from the deal last year but it is quite slow
so I am looking for a real server that I can setup this.

It doesn't have to be most powerful server but at least it is not lag to open the page.

Thank you all for help!

  • We can deliver dedicated in Boston, but need to know specs/budget

  • We can build you one to your specific needs.

  • This is a new customer without web present before so looking for fast page loading with small budget. The customer will be local in Boston area only.

  • That is.... not helpful? What HDD size do you need at least?

  • PM me the details and budget. I think we're one of only 2-3 people with a Boston presence.

Our servers are not located in Boston but we can offer you a 1 day trial and you will be able to test the ping etc.

Considering getting a SYS/OVH in OVH BHS, the latency <30ms. For example this one might be useful but it depends on your application: http://www.soyoustart.com/us/offers/e3-ssd-1.xml

There are more options at http://www.soyoustart.com/us/essential-servers/ and http://www.ovh.com/us/dedicated-servers/enterprise/

If 30ms is too high latency, get a server in NYC, then the latency is <10ms and you generally won't notice the difference compared to a server in Boston (Boston bandwidth is typically much more expensive, and there is also less competition there); e.g. these: http://www.reliablesite.net/dedicated-servers/new-york-dedicated-servers.aspx#quad-core-servers

  • I meant the end customer will be in Boston only, not my customer (well my customer also in Boston), will be in Boston only. It is local business. Please advise.
