Wrong VAT applied. For Germany e.g. it should be 19% instead of 24%

"... always be taxed in the country where the customer belongs"

    See: http://ec.europa.eu/taxation_customs/taxation/vat/how_vat_works/telecom/index_en.htm

  • I can choose the location after I bought one, right?

For the Kvm virtualization you can choose on the order form. For vps currently just Romania is available because we need to add some new nodes in the german cluster.

  • Are these servers DDoS protected?

    unlimited bw?

  • Germany not even available.

  • Currently the KVM vServer Mini (VDS) and the KVM Starter (VDS) both link to the same URL.

As I have already said .. For the VDS (Kvm) you can choose the location on the order form. For vps (OVZ) currently just Romania is available because we are in the process of adding more nodes in the german cluster, process which we estimate to be ended on 14th Aug. Anyway, this offer is available till the end of the month, so you can wait till 14th. If you just can't wait, please order one and before paying, open a ticket, and we shall create it on a german node.

In germany we have the ddos protection offered by the myloc datacenter, up to 1 Gbps per server. In Romania, we have our own ddos protection, but still in beta testing, so if the attack is too much for our firewall, your server might get suspended or the ip will receive a null route until the ddos is stopped or we find an alternative solution.

HI @catalingmn, so basiccally the bandwidth is limited?

Virtono applies a policy of common sense and fair usage, giving you the freedom of use on our 100Mb/s infrastructure. If you choose 1Gb/s, than you should consider reasonable usage as: 1000GB for Starter plan, 2000 for Basic, 3000GB for Advanced, 5000GB for Professional and 8000GB for Enterprise.

No sir, if you get the vps as it is, without speed upgrade, the bandwidth is unlimited. You will receive 100Mbps download speed, but the upload is not capped at 100mb/s, it's a best effort 1gbps. However we have a monitor where we can spot abusers, and if we think that is too much (let's say a new 1.3 euro vps has just reached 5TB in just a couple of days) than we limit the upload to 100mb/s as well.

    Any updates?

  • Rented one 2€ box. At first sight it's slow ass hell >.<. Have a 256mb box with 1 core at another company, and thats faster than this. The node is oversold as hell I think. I can't say anything about the bigger plans, because I only need the bandwidth, so I went with the smallest one, but this is cr@p.

Can confirm, @iwillkillyo, had a "really slow experience" with them as well. But this doesn't have to be just because of overselling. Could be node CPU abuse or they're just assigning very low CPU priority. Or the nodes CPUs are from 30 years ago.

Btw same with phase7 and racksx - horrible performance. If you want a cheap, fast VPS in RO, go with @cociu and you'll be satisfied.

  • Any update on Düsseldorf?

Indeed we have different priorities set for cpu and io for each type of plan, but it shouldn't be low. Please open a tichet or write an e-mail at [email protected] and we will solve this problem. If it's the node, we will migrate your vps to another node.

Won't be possible as I'm not a customer of you anymore since quite some time. And just fyi, I had two VPS with you overall, and the overall performance of both was pretty low. Were small plans, so of course I didn't expect a blazing performance, but what I got was under my minimum expections.

Hi, if you contact us via support tickets I will be glad to offer you a starter vps for one month free. I do not know on which period you have, but we just switched from ssd-caching to pure-ssd on all our nodes (in the past only kvm was on ssd, ovz was on ssd-caching), which improves performance alot.

  • @catalingmn Is the ticket system working? seems ticket not delivered to email #317116

  • Even i only use the bandwidth, i can also confirm the vps performance is verly slow, not complaining much for the price i pay
