Belgium XEN/KVM Servers Needed. Doesn't have to be cheap!

Hi,

We are looking for new VPS deployment in Belgium with XEN or KVM Hypervisors. We are looking for reliable companies.

Just for info; fusa.be doesn't work for us and transip.be deploys servers in NL.

Thank you!

    How is Edis unreliable?

  • Only exoticvps.com can help :) There not a many offers on this location.

  • Doesn't have to be cheap!

    Wrong forum.

Nah, just joking. Finally someone who doesn't want a dedicated with Dual E5, 128GB DDR4, 2TB SSD in RAID100 and unmetered Traffic @ 2x 1GBit dedicated on Virgin Islands for 5$/m.

Looking at their past history, they are not crap, but far from production level reliable.

  • EDIS will probably not work either then - They are in the FUSA DC (DC2).

    https://www.kinamo.be/en/servers/virtual - 40EUR, VMWare, InterXion Zaventem

    http://www.xprovide.be/en/server/vps - 15EUR, Xen, LCP Oostkamp

    http://www.easyhost.be/en/virtual-servers-linux/ - 20EUR, KVM(?), EasyHost (Brussels?)

Well, for one thing, they've been promising KVM disk space upgrades for years. 5GB fills up pretty quickly with a modern OS (especially on KVM) unless you go cleaning yourself. So far, no disk upgrades have taken place while the first promise for this was made in 2013...

Also, they're handing out /112s IPv6. Since they seem to be owning their own IPs, this probably means they do not understand how IPv6 works.

They used to be one of the best providers years back, but since they don't appear to have moved forward since, I can only suggest you look elsewhere for hosting.

problem is mainly that EDIS does not run own routers and lets the DC handle routing - Thus it is A. not easily possible to assign routed space and B. not liked by the DC with "polluting" the ARP table too much.

Ahoy! Mind telling me in a private message what went wrong? We're happy to fix stuff, but often customers don't tell if there is an issue, just cancel their services and leave and then tell everyone that company X is shit. Without any information about WHAT is wrong, we can never get it fixed.

    Thanks and best regards, Fusl

Pardon? We do actually offer disk upgrades (separate, additional hard disk images), 50GB for EUR 24,- monthly and 100GB for EUR 48,- monthly.

You people can only complain, right?

a.) No extra hard disk upgrades available - You complain

b.) Extra hard disk upgrades available but too expensive - You complain

c.) Extra hard disk upgrades available but too cheap - You complain about performance, support or whatever.

What the fuck is wrong with you all?

what the fuck is wrong with you with prices like that. nearly 50 euro for 100gb what the fuck!

He was just stating the fact that the upgrade is prohibitively expensive.

You guys can apply whatever pricing you consider right and prospective buyers will decide, but I would not pay 700€/year for 100GB of local SAS storage, that's for sure.

Gotta admit that EDIS disk is steep, could buy a physical disk for that price range or another server :p
