looking for a cheap VPS or cheap Dedicated in Europe

Hi LowEndTalk, i'm a student who looks for a good cheap VPS/Dedicated in Europe.
I am gonna use it for community Teamspeak (32 slot) and 2-4 websites (2 wordpress, 1 phpbb and one html).
I've been looking at http://www.Kimsufi.com/uk their KS-1 server and http://www.server4you.net/vps
I am currently using DigitalOcean and its not very cheap so i've been looking for alternatives.
What are you guys experiences with these companies (other known companies are also welcome to be mentioned, so i can look around :-) )
Best Regards
Tobias

Well i want a server in the europe this time :/

What about you start to read topic (hell, not even post, JUST THE DAMN TOPIC) or stop posting entirely?

    Thanks.

Back to topic - Server4You billing is sometimes questionable (recurring billing even if server is disabled, sometimes also charged when the server is cancelled), you need to cancel by physical mail (at least a year ago they would not accept scanned email). Would not recommend.

  • Give a try with online.net or soyoustart can also be an option, kimsufi is cheap, also :) https://robot.your-server.de/order/market

I have done a little research on Server4You and it seems to be generally negative.
but many of them is US servers, and i am looking at EU and there is also only german reviews there.
so i probatly gonna stay away from them.
    idk yet.

i saw some other posts about online.net how are they performing and the reliability?
Kimsufi is just very hard to get a KS-1 server they are allways out of stock ._.

  • Would a VPS work? I could help you out

It depends on the power of this VPS?

  • Also i found a company http://www.time4vps.eu/ are they legit?
    and are anyone using them?

  • @Tobias8312 no worries about time4vps.eu is a reliable provider.

They have some serious low pricing :) i will investigate :P

    They are legit enough.

  • @Tobias8312 You should mention your budget and your required resources. If you don't know, tell us which DO plan you are currently using and if there is any problem/lag with it. Your location would also be useful as I think latency matters for TeamSpeak.

  • What's your budget? You may check RamNode (for NL) or HostWithLinux (for UK) out; we might also be able to do something for you in France.

Most german reviews (which are plenty as S4Y is a german company) are either negative or neutral as well - I can say i have very rarely seen a positive review of Server4You or their other brands on german forums. Some years ago they were popular for P2P (when abuse was rare) but that faded in favour of OVH and more recently Online.

Well i only got the 512 mb plan at DigitalOcean and it's currently only running the Teamspeak server.
i think around 10€ is my budget incl. Danish Vat
    My location is Denmark
    My ping:
    OVH: 45-50 ms
    The Netherlands: 25-35 ms
    Germany: 45-60 ms
    The UK: 40-45 ms
    Italy and Spain: 60-70 ms
    Denmark: 18-22 ms
    :-)

I'm mostly intrested in the Netherlands, but France is also acceptable, whats your offer?
    :-)

Would any of the plans at http://verelox.com/cloud.php work for you? If not, you may let me know the resources you require and I'll happily set them up for you. You also receive a free trial so that you can try the service out before ordering to see if the network/performance suits your needs.

For a dedicated, except ovh and online there are https://servdiscount.com/ in DE (stock is live, seems like no server under 10€ us available right now)

Approximately a year. Yes. Here you go: NL202790290B02

P.S this is the first time we see someone unsatisfied with our website design - but don't worry, we can change that for you :-)

  • @Tobias8312 said:

I guess you should stick with Netherlands for teamspeak. I don't run teamspeak personally but I've read that 128MB is enough. Get something like RamNode's 128MB $15/year (google around there might be 10% coupon).

Then you can be more flexible with your website/forum. Time4VPS is good value for its price. If you need SSD I would recommend HostHatch. If websites are not too big/busy, perhaps even shared hosting would suffice; e.g. take a look at buyshared.net Luxembourg location.

My DigitalOcean hosted Teamspeak is paid by my Github student pack on 100$ for free, so i don't need to change the Teamspeak host now :-)
