looks like its almost idle. any issues with SSD?
It is very optimized, but I think SSD is a bit slow. Intel SSD 80-100 mb/sec, since this database has a lot of writes, I assume Samsung SSD may speed up the database.
I might have something for you. Are you fust on locations?
Europe location.
If hosting in US is good go with @MSPNick. Should have some SSDs left.
OVH very cheap, interesting if you find something like you have now.
I will follow this topic... Thx
edit nm, thought it was a SYS.
It was SP line and OVH sold it very cheap and without setup fee.
Very similar to https://web.archive.org/web/20130520090942/http://www.ovh.ie/dedicated_servers/sp_32g_ssd.xml
But I lucky to get it with ECC memory. They no longer provide it in SYS, because they think professionals should buy servers at 100 euro with ECC and SSD.
I think only versaweb can beat this price in US

I'll see what I can find.
what about online.net? Top provider in the EU
ovh network much better
but capped unlike online
Then use their great overload-packetloss network. Saw too many reviews about that.
10k daily is too little.
Do you search only for server or you are fine with hosted solution? Most probably i can host this for 10-15 euro per month on highend server at OVH. Speed will be few times better with big chance.
for 10-15 euro per month
I do not think 15 euro server could handle 10k. Sometimes it could be 200 users online. 15 euro vps will die.
Here is July stats
No no, server costs much more. This is high-end server with big websites (few millions daily visitors combined). I am offering a hosted solution, which will give you full server power to be able to handle spikes.
I am very good at optimization and load mitigation, 200 users online is not a problem, that's pretty low for my typical high-loaded environment.
Their hardware is sheet compared to online.
Yep, this could be a good replacement

Is it any free ddos protection like VAC in OVH?
I'm not sure you will actually get anything significantly better than what you already have for your budget (especially compared to the cost and effort of migrating servers).
Also, I doubt there will be significant benefits to your sites performance, though given where your visitors are from maybe another provider/location would offer a better network connectivity.
In your position I would either keep it as it is (and if possible optimise the database further) or increase your budget and go for significantly better specs (which possible would be idle).
@Gulf Have a look at our Dedicted Servers Sale here https://www.clouvider.co.uk/dedicated-servers-sale
We can replace the SATA drives with SSD if you like.
If you have any questions please feel free to PM or email via the contact form.
Pricing without promo for Dell R210 - E3-1230V2 with SSD ?
UK providers are very expensive, like, rackspace, rapidswitch.
Simple configuration in rapidswitch costs like a good server at phoenixnap eu with free ddos protection.
most SSD's are SATA
@TarZZ92 you know I meant SATA magnetic drive, right ?
@Gulf I will drop you a PM, if that's ok with you
Please delete
I'm limited to what I can browse. I'm aware of the anti ddos from ovh ( heard mix opinions). Is OP asking for such thing?
You are not making reference that ovh does not offer at least widely any v3's.
The E3-SSD-4 could be good possibly ... same CPU, but 3 drives and hardware RAID https://www.soyoustart.com/en/offers/e3-ssd-4.xml
@Gulf : All our servers have a free protection against DDoS and we offer different levels of advanced protection, if required: http://www.online.net/en/dedicated-server/ddos-arbor#pricing
Indeed amazing! I love your servers but peering to US is not good
