Network & Datacenter:

We are using SoftLayer in Hong Kong. The servers are physically located in the Mega-I datacenter. The network has multiple 10Gbps uplinks with multiple carriers and peers (see: http://www.softlayer.com/network). To test the network:

http://speedtest.hkg02.softlayer.com/downloads/test100.zip

http://lg.softlayer.com (choose Hong Kong from dropdown after agreeing to the terms)

The same plans are available in Los Angeles, Stockholm and Amsterdam - see website for details.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanked by 2Faizi Anna_Parker

Mkay got it, unfortunately it follows the same disappointing routing that the other Asian SL locations use for non-Asia clients, e.g. for the HK one they barely if at all use HKIX for incoming, it always goes first to Softlayer in Europe, then around the globe via the US...

We had to change it due to the amount of orders. Quarterly will be available again in a couple days. In the meantime, please feel free to place an order and email me, I will change it to quarterly.

Just to inform you that the "(free upgrade to 768 MB for quarterly or higher)" etc has expired, waiting the staff to renew the page. If you're going to buy this please note you can't get the "free upgrade offer". However that doesn't affect the usability much.
