As stated: What open source control panel are you using?

I'm using Virtualmin, but I was wondering if this control panel isn't too old school.

What are you using?

  • Not sure if this counts as a control panel, but we use HyperVM for our VPS management.

    EHCP mostly.

  • How does EHCP compare to Virtualmin?

  • Free version of Webuzo. :D

EHCP is more user friendly, I use it to give to ppl which dont know much admining and would get overwhelmed of many options and stuff.
If all they need is a few WP sites ftp/webmail/mysql and stuff, EHCP is simple and fast.
Besides has ffmpeg and other goodies for who needs them.

Webuzo.. that looks interesting never knew about this one previous to your comment... kind of reminds me of turnkey appliances, but looks like with this you can have one appliance with multiple apps/uses.. pretty cool

Been using ZpanelX quite a bit, it's a got a bit to go but overall they appear to have a strong team, effective security screening and above all it does the job in a nice clean way.

    No.

  • EHCP looks really good, just checked the demo.

They have had many vulnerabilities in the past months alone, many of which were not found by their so-claimed "professional security firm". There is still at least one vulnerability present.

okies, must be looking in all the wrong places for when searching for anything people know, as it's always the forefront of my mind on these kind of panels.

Ispconfig 3 is a solid panel.

    Plesk 11 for £1/month :P

  • How do you get it at that price?

Kloxo here, though development seems a bit slow, poor theming if you want to retheme, limited support

Edit - tonnes of features, some similarity to cpanel

  • I was using i-MSCP, great panel, then @jhadley has said in a post where to find Plesk at a low price and I switched to it.

  • Found the link for plesk

Only for 10 domains though, but REALLY cheap.

Still cheap if you need 100 domains...

    ZpanelX / virtualmin

  • @jhadley Cheers for finding and posting that a few weeks back :D

  • Webuzo is somehow very good. :)
easy installation, but it only supports CentOS.

  • +1 ISPConfig3 use it on all my vps(256MB+)

  • I think I'm in love with Plesk 11...

  • I m currently using zPanel X. I believe it is a decent one, easier to learn for old cpanel users especially. I ve tried Virtual Min too, but it was kinda complicated and harder to browser for me.

Kloxo also is a nice option, I ve tried in the past. But I think it supports Cent OS 32 bit only. Also easier to use and browse, kinda cPanel alike.

  • Froxlor and ispconfig should be the best option
