There is no censorship here that i know of. I agree i cant check all the sites out there, but if there was something blocked, I would have known, I have many friends in major ISPs.
There used to be raids on DC++ hubs many years ago with no serious consequences for people operating them, but people selling CDs in the street were occasionally arrested, but that is completely understandable, same as checking on companies for the legality of the software (more is needed in that regard, IMO, at least the companies should pay for it, we need more people using Linux).

What has this to do with censorship? Piracy is illegal in romania too, this does not mean it is a problem with the freedom of expression.
As for working with NATO, yeah, it seems some romanian governments were accessories to torture or even murder by assisting US spy agencies. The new government is less prone to such issues, a big mosque is planned now, the old president tried to make a fuss about it, but will go ahead, I think. Romanian troops returned ahead of schedule from Iraq and afghanistan iirc, however, the russian recent conquests may force this government to contribute more, this is why i believed it was acting, not a real issue, to force eastern EU to contribute more to the crusades.
For sure there is no problem with the freedom of expression. My only concern is that nowadays there is no more offshore in hosting terms in Ro.
