I would say it is considering the specs, multiple location choices, and price.

Thanks for the kind words :)

Thanks, finally a Buffalo VPS with a proper US IP :)

    IPv6?

  • @bit said: Just picked up 3 yearly ones in each of the locations, it's a shame it's not available for the other locations.

    Welcome aboard!

Soon ;) As soon as we have it available, we'll mail all of our clients, and you may then claim a reasonable amount of IPv6 you require at no additional cost.

    Thanks,
    Kevin

how many cpu cores of each?

  • @black said: Are these plans a special or are they something you're going to offer for awhile?

Excellent question, we are currently undecided on that, this is something @FTNChris and I will have to discuss.

Regardless of what we decide, those who purchase will have the price/plan locked in - meaning we guarantee the price/specs will not change in the future.

    Best,
    Kevin

  • @vvoody said: how many cpu cores of each?

Our servers are utilizing the Ivy Bridge E3-1240V2 3.40 GHz processors, the $12/yr plan receives 1 CPU Core while the $7/m plan receives 4 CPU cores.

It's more than enough processing power for almost anything you would need to run on a VPS.

    Thanks for the interest!

Kevin, i'm thinking of a small backup VPS (like the $12/year) in case my other UK VPS face some issues/ downtime..
u can also PM me, if... Thanks

  • Just took one. I got some trouble paying via paypal, and had to use a visa to finish the checkout.
And also, as black said above, it would be better if there were some vSwap.
It works fine, so far :)

  • @black said: Any burst memory with this plan? Even like 32 MB?

Our newer nodes are actually RHEL6 based which utilize the new memory management, so it would be vSwap, however we do not offer any with these plans.

@ynzheng said: why not yearly if "Guaranteed Lifetime Price Lock -- Price NEVER increases after you secure your order"

Please rephrase - that made no sense.

Welcome aboard, for the record this is how you pay via Paypal: Please select "PayPal ~ Credit Cards" in the invoice and select "Make One Off Payment". After doing that you will be redirected to our partner, 2Checkout. On the top right, please ensure the currency is set to USD. After that, continue and on the 3rd screen you will find the option to pay via PayPal.

We appreciate your trust and business.

    Thanks,
    Kevin

  • @FTN_Kevin Do you currently have one node in L.A?
If somebody wants to have 2 in L.A, could he spread them on different node?

Yes I did so, after I processed the bank verify with paypal it jumped back to 2Checkout and showed up a payment failed notice to me, then I had the money back to my paypal account and then to the bank.
I tried twice, it was the same, then I switched to use a visa and everything went on smoothly.
Not sure if this is somehow a 2Checkout or your issue :P
