8 month review of VPSDime VDS500-1000GB

Hi guys, I've been with VPSDime due to your recommendations for over 8 months now and it's been one of the best Storage VPS's I've ever had the pleasure of using.

I initially started out with the 500GB package but upgraded to the 1000GB package a few months in, coming with 2GB ram, 4CPU and 8TB in monthly bandwidth with 1ipv4 on a 1Gbps line located in Dallas Texas on the Incerno network.

About the staff:
Over my time there I've opened a total of 5 tickets to the support and not one of them has been about a complaint or an issue with the server/network itself, they were all just general questions about other services and future services (such as more locations, their affiliate program, so on and so forth). All 5 of these tickets were answered within a 45 minutes (most within 5 minutes actually) They're incredibly fast and very helpful. Some of the best customer support I've ever had the pleasure of dealing with.

About the VPS
The VPS itself is great, running Ubuntu 12.04_64 LTS Minimal. Always fast and the uptime is wonderful, only times its ever needed to be rebooted was due to my own needs for updates and the like, the cost is only $14/mo and for that price you get quite a lot.

Unlike some VPS hosts I've had in the past, especially storage ones, VPSDime don't mind you using the bandwidth and bursting with the speed, some places I've been with have been real sticklers about it, but with VPSDime I regularly use 50Mb-150Mb and burst even higher, using up almost all of my 8TB/Mo limit and have never had an issue.

About VPSDime
VPSDime no longer offer their Storage VPS but they offer a wide range of High Ram and Premium VPS as well as Windows VPS, all of them are available in multiple locations (Seattle
-WA, Los Angeles-CA, Dallas-TX, Piscataway-NJ, Maidenhead-UK, Amsterdam-NL) on 1Gbit or 10Gbit Full SSD.

Which hosts had problems with you using the allocated BW?

Saddest part. I'm holding tight to my 500GB quarterly.

Didn't they just move the Storage VPS offers to their backupsy brand?

The VPSDime packages were a bit cheaper and had more memory as well. Which, by no means, makes Backupsy a bad deal. I keep a 250GB Backupsy server on hand at all times as well.

  • I managed to nab a KVM500 deal over at Backupsy for $6/month but I kind of wish I also bought a VSPDime one as well, just because it's such a great deal.

I have a $7 annual 512 package from VPSDIME and till now didn't had any issue.. almost 10 months now. Also have 2 VPS from Winity they are also doing great .. Great Provider!

  • I have one as well and love it. Not heavily utilized currently though. It's kinda been a scratch disk for backups, so I'll pull in 100+GB of stuff for a brief period, and then pull it back. Incero network is great and I think these boxes are on 10GigE, so there's always room to burst, can always get solid up & down speeds.

Cannot complain about 1TB storage plan:

    $> uptime
    03:55:52 up 345 days, 21:51, 11 users, load average: 0.44, 0.33, 0.36

Very sad to give it up though.
