Recently lost 2 VPS due to deadpool, need to fill them in.

Got too many in U.S. already.

I need 2 VPS in 2 different countries, which are not the U.S.

OpenVZ preferred.

Specs:
128/192 ram/burst
5 gigs disk
10 gigs transfer

They will be used to host Wordpress sites.

I will pay $12 per year for each VPS.

  • Prometeus?

  • prometeus has 128mb, perfect for blogs

  • Get Prometeus OpenVZ, VZ3 or VZ5 or even VZ5 SSD :D

  • only VZ0 will fit his budget. Hit uncle Sal, if there are stocks

  • Got a link?

  • It's 14$, 2$ over your budget. But its prometeus, much worth even for much more money.

Hit with some Apple or Chocholate? :D

How much is a little bit more for similar (very low spec) in Aus? :)

  • ProviderService 128MB?

    Apple would hurt.

    Thanked by 1ErawanArifNugroho
  • ProviderService website shows price too high.

Do you have a link for a special offer?

    Actually I guess another $30 isn't a little bit more. Sorry... :(

  • Jack from DotVPS helped me get an acceptable deal. Not as low as I was requesting, but he did make it worthwhile. Thanks Jack!

I am not going to give actual figures (a gentlemen never tells ;)
but it is a good deal.

  • @Zen:

Thanks for the recommendation, you are very helpful.

    @jcaleb:

I contacted their Sales department at Prometeus, made an offer for VZ0.

Hope to hear something good. :D

    Thanks for the tip.

  • Got a nice slice from Prometeus, it is blindingly fast.

Initial upgrades took all of 2 minutes.

    Good price too!

    Thanks, Uncle Sal!

  • Now I am looking for one more VPS. Made the mistake of trying to fit Avante into a new slot in the VPS patch, now those 20 sites need another host for server10.

$12 is a bit low except during advertised specials, so I am willing to pay as much as $15 for 128/192 ram/burst with 5 gigs of disk and 10 gigs of bandwidth.

Are there any other non-US providers who want to fill a low-end slot?

    Avante

    Oh yeah. Avante.

I'd say Prometeus, but since you already have a VPS with them, I can recommend you either getting another one, still with them, or trying http://bit.ly/BurstNET. It's a big well-known company which is exactly what I wanted after having experience with AvanteHosting. It has UK location - Manchester. For 7.95GBP ($12.67) you get 1GB/1500MHZ/50GB/1000GB.

You may also want to consider http://bit.ly/FanaticalVPS (Afterburst now). It's run by twenty-something kids, but I have a VPS with them since their spring 2011 offer and it's still very good and stable. They have unmetered bandwidth by the way.

If you want a real non-US location, try Russian http://bit.ly/FirstVDS. For 399RUB ($12.68) you get 1.5G/1800MHZ/24G/Unlimited BW. It comes with pre-installed free control panel they developed which is way better than cPanel or something. You can install any Linux or FreeBSD. The company is more than 10 yrs old and is well-known here. Feel free to contact me if you need any help because their site is in russian.

Regardless of the links, I'm not anyhow affiliated with any of the providers aforementioned. Just shaing my experience :)

  • @devnull:

Already got a Fanatical VPS, they are my backup MX/DNS. Rock Solid.

FirstVDS sounds good, wonder if they will do a custom plan.
