Looking for VPS in Philippines (paid hourly)
Hi,
I am looking for a hoster which offers Philippines location (with PH IP) where I can spin up VPS instances on demand (paid hourly) and have a big enough IP pool.
Will use it for OpenVPN to buy cheap gift cards from Spotify via Paypal. Since I will use it only for OpenVPN I just need very little resources.
If you know a good company feel free to share it.

How cheap are these Spotify gift cards? Can they be used with an account from any country?
Not going to happen in PH.
For the prices have a look at http://mts.io/projects/spotify-pricing/ . It is 2,39$/month for PH right now.
Basically what you have to do is create a PH Spotify account and then create a PH Paypal account with your CC (just use an adress from Google Maps) and then add your PH Paypal account to the Spotify account to buy the gifts cards. All with the PH IP.
The gift cards will be sent to you via mail. After that create a second PH Spotify account where no payment method is added and use the gift cards (with PH IP). After that you login to the second Spotify account with an IP from your country and change the region. Done.
Can you recommend any other company with cheap monthly plans instead?
This seems like a lot of effort to save a few bucks on a Spotify gift card.
And of course, once Spotify figures out your trick, you'll be stuck with a bunch of cards whose region you can't change.
I don't mind the effort. I do the same for game keys and it saved my family, friends and me a lot of money during the past time. And they know there is allways the risk of loosing their accounts but everything went out fine till now.
I used the hola.org unblocker but it is more hassle to deal with hola than just spin up some small instances for my purchase of the gift cards.
Yeah, most of these spotify loopholes get closed. There were some idiots that bought fake Spotify accounts (some sort of trial bug, with a made up CC number) at my college, and the accounts were removed after about 3 months. I'm sure they actively check these sort of things, just a matter of time.
In the long run is it really worth all your time anyway?
Yes, until know everything worked out fine. And the savings are worth it:
Spin up a VPS and run Nyr's OpenVPN script: 15 minutes
Create a PH Paypal with my CC (I allready have one): 20 minutes
Create a PH Spotify account with a new mail adresss and add PH Paypal (I allready have one): 10 minutes
Create a second PH Spotify account with a new mail adresss and add the gift cards: 10 minutes
Relogin to the second spotify account and change the region: 5 minutes
Sum: 60 Minutes (without the time to sign up for a vps company and wait for the deployment).
Savings with gift cards worth 12 months for one person: $35,15 (PH) + $10 (VPS) vs. $166,44 (DE).
Do it for GF, friends and family members --> more sex, more free beer and food + karma.
For me it's worth it.

They also have a deal with Globe: http://www.globe.com.ph/surf/plan/spotify may be easier to just buy a Globe prepaid SIM on eBay, load it up, then use that to pay for Spotify.

Why not just hire someone here who will do the work for you. someone you can pay very cheap

Using VPS in Philippines is more expensive way than hiring someone in Philippines, just hire a person in Philippines with the Internet and English who you can trust, just like @jcaleb said.

A lot, check eBay. That's even more legit than what others are selling on there. I bought before a "12 month" premium for the gf. It was by some guy who got it free with his cell. I guess he canceled his cell and the Spotify went with it. It was still a good deal, 6 months for $20.

I am from PH and just bought 3 months premium prepaid, costs 258 php, around 5 USD. So, monthly subscription in USD already 6 months premium in ours.:D

What are your speeds like there? Is it feasible for somebody with home connection to offer VPN service with dynamic IP?
I don't think so because you have to pay around $65/month to get 3mbps speed on home connection throttled after 800mb data per day on Globe, since you mention it above.
If you pay 3 dollars in PH and the people in DE (just one example, others pay more) pay 11 dollars a month then you can pretty much offer it for 6 dollars and both sides should be happy I think.
Offer 3, 6 and 12 months account and you make 9, 18 and 36 dollars profit per account. It is pretty nice if you consider the usual wages in your country.
The only big problem is that you will never know for how long this business model will work out. You should communicate honestly to your clients about the risk that the accounts might get closed if Spotify decides to prevent this trick. This trick already works for more than one year but nobody can tell if it will work out in the future.
