OsTicket isn't bad. Used it before for some projects
Appreciate all the suggestions, going to have a play with ArcticDesk later tonight.
otrs.com
there is no need for your customers to create an account (damn another user/pass I always forget), learn the user-interface and other unnecessary things
everybody knows how to send/receive an email and it's all that is needed for a ticketing system
from users and administrators (no big worries about the security, it's an advanced mail client after all ) point of view, otrs is my choice
@camarg Cheers for that, never heard of it before. Will give it a try though.
I prefer email only for support and don't like systems with "frontend ticket management" for the users. I use Cerberus Helpdesk but it's commercial and you have to pay for updates / support.
We are using Vision Helpdesk http://www.thevisionworld.com since its 1st version (now its 3rd version and its awesome)
The best thing is the multi-company management feature.
@Chief if you can obtain legal non-profit status from the government then Kayako and many more places will offer free licenses due to non-profit status. So if you can obtain non-profit status then they'll give it free.
meh.... tbh it just looks like they're re-designing this application, making a profit from it: http://codecanyon.net/item/ultimate-client-manager-pro-edition/2621629?sso?WT.ac=category_item&WT.seg_1=category_item&WT.z_author=dtbaker

It seems too slow. I got a license from TKI with my another purchase but even reaching the dashboard was a pain. Tried a few times. Was a waste of time for me.
Enjoying the shilling there?
You really seem to be enjoying the reviving of old/dead helpdesk-related threads to advertise this thing...
