    If i buy resource :
    4G ram
    80GB SSD
That means i can create 4 vms with 1G ram and 20GB ssd each?

Yes exactly. We don't have any set server spec so you can mix and match resources as needed

    Thanked by 1Jazzy8999

    can we upgrade resources later?

  • The resource pool is fully flexible. You can scale by any component at any time (adding just cpu or ram or ssd or ips or any combination

  • @tommy said:

    Yes

  • How about port speed caps for SG? Or for upcoming ID?

    Yes

awesome, must buy when available in jakarta location

    @tommy said:

You just need to go into the resource pool and use the option at the top right "Add new server"

You need to buy an IP for each VM as obvious as that sounds.

  • Very happy with the performance and support of DediServe
For dediserve as far as I can see, resource purchased can be used only for that specific region and cannot be used else where right?

  • @dediserve network only 100Mbps, not correct 250Mbps Uplink.

    Correct.

Glad to see new provider in SG.

The routing to China is a bit disappointing.
Singapore -> San Jose -> Los Angeles -> China

Hope the upcoming HK location will have direct route to China...

dont expect much on the china route. as long as china telco do not bring down the cost, no one in the world able to give quality china route.

all the global network to china only best effort basic unless you signup for the dedicated china route

  • We have the option to directly route to China, but the cost is $60 per Mbps, and unsustainable for LET deals I'm afraid.

If needed, we can arrange it for clients, and will continue reviewing it.

Resource pool / normal plans get 250Mbps, the LET server deal gets 200Mbps now. If you have 100, drop us a line to upgrade.

  • @dediserve Why do you advertise your New York location as being in New York, New York but in reality it is in Buffalo, New York?! Thats 297 miles away

  • tommytommy Member

    1 GB Plan
    Disk Space 30 GB
    CPU Cores 1 CPUs
    5.5 USD

    2 GB Plan
    Disk Space 30 GB
    CPU Cores 2 CPUs
    8.23 USD
the difference only cpu and memory.

I'll consider plan below as replacement for my current Linode plan ;) (offcourse after various testing)

    Thanked by 1dediserve
  • dediserve said: We don't

You might want to update your hostbill then :P

    Thanked by 1dediserve
  • Very happy with the performance (although currently i think they are getting bombed by network and dd test) and awesome support of dediserve!

Let see who will be next to enter the sg market!

2 MB/sec download from Linode Tokyo is not fast, on DO SG I get 24 MB/sec.

    dgprasetya said: Softlayer, Singapore: 11.2MB/s

Also this is still capped at 100 Mbit, despite the offer promising 200.

  • You can click on the Network Tab to see your NIC speed.
Do bear in mind that about 250 LET servers are bombarding the network at the moment, all doing semi-pointless benchmarks :)

    your network can't handle that? :D :)
maybe that reason why I only get 30-40 when using VPN, yesterday I can push 700-800 KB/s maxout my bandwidth.

  • Sounds like most folks bought SG VPS just for fun for test and benchmarks looking for a bitch SG local providers for speed and pricing. :)

  • @rm, if only you've tried provider from Indonesia :(

Most of our local provider here only can maxed out at 200kbps

  • Just wondering if @dediserve would/could do SWIP?
