Looking for LEB with IP range staring from 93 or 78

Long story short, due to some ISP issues my original IP range is gone for a few days. I'm looking for LEB or any other VPS / dedicated server with IP range starting from 93. or 78. as all my SSH are whitelisted only to those IP ranges. I basically want to setup a VPN in order to access some of my stuff.

Thanks

  • httpzoom has some offers on here and they have a test ip that starts with 78

  • Both /8s are assasigned to RIPE so you should probably limit your search to Europe.

  • @httpzoom possible ?

  • yea httpzoom uses rapidswitch so they MAY have this range.

Waiting for @httpzoom to confirm though

Our private ranges are in the 109 and 87 range. However our shared ips are on 78.

A server could be setup on the 78.129.226.* range, however we'd have to do this manually.

  • great pm'd you

  • Redstation has quite a few on 78/8, so that could be a starting point.

why don't you connect through kvm-console and modify your ssh restrictions?

hetzner has ips starting from 78

  • What is the point to make whitelisted for whole /8 subnet or even two? o_O

Whitelisting your providers IP ranges when you have a dynamic IP? Pseudo security.

Change SSH port, disable root login, use keys, pick any 2 and you're more secure then 9/10 systems.

Sounds like the best solution to me.

Local provider operate under whole /8 subnet?
It's sure to be something more less, /19 or /20 for example, or few such subnets.
If desired, it is not difficult to discover exactly which or ask your provider about this...

Get cheap VPS for 50 cent/month for VPN with backup static IP another good idea,
if somehow don't like to use key authorization.

  • This thread is like a performance art piece for why people should use public key auth. :P

    vps4less.de / valueserver.de have 93.186.x.x IP block.
fanaticalvps / afterburst have 78.47.x.x IP block
    hostinginside have 78.46.x.x IP block
    inceptionhosting have 78.41.x.x IP block

You can't go wrong with any of them (including already mentioned httpzoom).

    Guys,

We have our own IP blocks and therefore they aren't on Rapidswitch's normal 78 blocks! :-(
