I am running this socks5 proxy successfully. But I cannot get u torrent to work with it
P.S i am behind a sonic firewall level 7..

external: 1.1.1.1

method: username #rfc931

clientmethod: none

user.privileged: root

user.notprivileged: nobody

user.libwrap: nobody

    In my experience torrent behind a proxy server doesn't work very well. Some clients ignore it or leak the IP address. I ended up installing the torrent client under a specific client and routing the client's traffic trough a VPN.

    It actually does work quite well. The thing is it won't work for UDP, doesn't matter what you do, it won't work - I came to the conclusion that it is somehow related to libtorrent (e.g. the UDP protocol is not properly implemented).

    Try to add a torrent with TCP tracker and see if it works, it should.

  • The http trackers connects but it doesnot connect with peers
