Google apps mail can't send/receive emails within the same domain name

I am using domain name "domain.com" in google apps mail application. I've set all the required google mx records and spf one, i can send/receive emails from everywhere except my own domain name "domain.com". When i send from [email protected] to [email protected], user2 gets nothing and vice versa. Any suggestions?

Ia that Mail (Same Domain Email) being sent from a Control Panel (e.g. cPanel) from a Server? Make sure that, if that domain has a hosting account there, make the mail option to be set to Remote Mail Exchanger than Local Mail Exchanger.

  • Not even in a spam folder. I am not using any CP, plain nginx, bind9

Double check your domain dns and mx records settings. It's not related to your webserver, you don't even need nginx to make Google Apps Emails work.

  • my domain name is ggames.kz.

I just noticed when i did a check with mxtoolbox it told me: loop detected..

  • Do you mind capture your domain settings and post it here? @heihachi88

You have a problem.with your MX settings

  • You mean bind settings? I have following "architecture"

on ip xx.xx.xx.xx i have a bind server.
My nameservers (dns1,dns2) are pointing to ip xx.xx.xx.xx (bind server)

Then in ggames.kz.db (bind zone file) i am redirecting A records to another seriver yy.yy.yy.yy

    Maybe that's a problem?

  • Gmail should work well with your settings.
Do you mean only your users of the same domain can't send email for each other?

The same file in the 2 DNS servers?

BTW, the A record doesn't have the masked IP

Yes, only the users within google apps domain can't send email's for each other.

I have only one dns server on a dedicated server.

BTW, the A record doesn't have the masked IP

    Thanks, fixed :)

  • So you can send and receive email from different domains, but now users from the same domain... Hmm it's strange thing that I have never seen.

In this case I recommend you to contact Google Support.

  • check etc/localdomains and etc/remotedomains
move your concerned domain from local to remote

I also think this is the problem which I mentioned above.
