Looks like SSD's are getting larger storage capacity faster than we thought!
This only means lower storage ssd's will get a lower price and we get more for our buck!
Thoughts?

Aren't these seriously top-end bits of kit?
1TB SSDs existed for quite some time. The site doesn't metion prices unfortunately.
~$990 for the 1TB version from Fixstar, so probably $3-5k for 3TB?

So, yeah. Hopefully SSDs will soon be around the same cost as hdds are now.
It will be a while. Spinning rust still has the advantage in a lower cost of production.

I'm liking the sound of the 16TB SSD's! Would only need a few for a SAN :P
Probably about 40k for one 16TB SSD at this rate phaha, true though just two and you've got yourself a bloomin big SAN!
Yeah your probably right! $40K I bet someone buys one though!
You can always stack ssd up to get larger capacity, unlike a hdd.
But it'll be pricy.
