You weren't very clear on if emails you are sending are being marked as spam or if you are receiving emails that are being marked as spam.

    If you are sending:

1.) If you are sending spam, don't bother as it will always end up in the spam folder no matter what you do. If these are legitimate emails:

2.) Ensure your IP address is not blacklisted, http://www.mxtoolbox.com is useful.

3.) Setup your SPF records correctly, http://www.unlocktheinbox.com/spfwizard/ can help you with that.

4.) Setup a DKIM key, this process is dependent on how your email system is setup, i.e. you're using a control panel or straight mail server. I would recommend using Google for this one since there are a few factors at play.

5.) Ensure you have a rDNS entry for the IP address you are sending email from and it matches the sending domain. Your hosting provider should be able to assist you with this.

If emails you are receiving are being marked as spam:

1.) Add the sender to your contacts.

2.) Whitelist the domain sending the emails

  • Try mail-tester.com

  • Setup rDNS/SPF/DKIM on the domain and then if still having issues check the IP against blacklists.

You could also just offload mail via Mandrill or a similar mail relay.

  • Thank you very much for all your help and useful information

  • Mandrill / Mailchimp / Mailgun / uk.mailjet / sendgrid / Amazon SES / Cakemail. There are so many options, it all comes out to your requirements in the end. Do check out all of them.

Thank you for your help.. How about Google App connect with SMTP ?

  • you can try a relay mail server, if ever had spamming issue from your server may be you can clean out the spamming activity and request a removal blacklist to mail server provider.
