If you had to choose games for a shared host to host, what would they be?

In other words, what are the most popular games to host right now?

Adding looks interesting, low ram and CPU too... 75 cents a server.

  • CoD's.. I think (just think) the biggest source of Dedicated Servers.

  • I prefer Crysis

Maple lol. i still have customers who host that ;-)

  • Source Engine games might be worth looking into (TF2, CSS, CSGO, GMod)

Minecraft is already saturated to high heaven.

Every source game is already saturated to high heaven.

I can't really give you any recommendation other than go with brand new upcoming hidden games that you think could be the next big thing, that way you can get personal with the developers and build a relationship beforehand.

And this comes from experience too, you will not make any money in source games atm other than MAYBE CS:GO but since they're going to be running official servers and the market is already pounced upon by the bigger hosts I doubt it.

  • Can't run a lot of games on these things :x http://bit.ly/Nw3mlY

I seem to have no problems getting minecraft clients, I am just sick of the insane RAM usage.

  • Actually, servers are paid by clans.. so would be great to make easier the "add funds" funcionality, maybe also available for guests who want to donate. That would be great and everybody will get a server with you :)

It would also be nice to see that feature have a callback of sorts, so the owner could point it to a URL and have the donor's e-mail, amount, and a custom value passed to it
