Managed ownCloud site

Hi folks,

Can anyone recommend a reliable ownCloud provider from personal experience?

The plan should include at least 100 GB storage, ownCloud updates, daily backups, SSL, ownCloud admin rights. Not looking for a VPS to host my own ownCloud, I'm looking for a hosted ownCloud in the cloud. Location in Europe preferred (--> faster data transfers). Also not looking for a VPS provider to set up an ownCloud site. It should be part of the daily business with existing ownCloud customers.

Cheers

  • Thanks, but that is not personal experience (unless you know them all and can vouch for them ;-)

  • I can host it for you, there's plenty of people who can say my services are reliable.

    What's your budget?

  • Why not just use Dropbox (or similar services) if you need a managed option?

  • It's not your owncloud then.

  • OP .. how hard is it to maintain an OwnCloud setup ?
have you given it a go ?

  • I may be wrong but I am sure there is a one click install of Owncloud in Softaculous. If you are not too sure about setting it up from scratch try finding a cPanel host you trust with Softaculous and install from there.

May not help but thought I would put it out there.

Why not just use a managed VPS company, why must they be specialists at OC?

    OC Specialists...

It's not hard by any means, but depending on the size of your instance it can certainly be time-consuming to manage.

"I may be wrong but I am sure" doesn't sound very sure :-)

    Anyway, yes there is:

Perhaps, just perhaps, he knows what he wants and why. Maybe he could set up his own owncloud but does not want to. Just maybe he does not give a single fuck what any of you think he should do and just needs you to answer his question? If not he is not interested.

    Take a look at http://owncube.com

  • Thanks guys, looking at Owncube right now, they have try before you buy option. Actually, it's not for me, it's for someone who doesn't have a clue about Linux and I don't want to be responsible for it by hosting it on my own.
