1.99 euro dedis

Hi,

I have three that aren't really getting a great deal of use at the moment and I know that they are in demand, rather than have them idle I am happy to re-sell them to people I can trust for not much above the offer price.

They are all linked to my account so I would need to handle re-installs, etc via ticket as if I provide my online.net login details you will have access to my servers as well.

This is a post to gauge interest - let me know if you might be interested.

People always like cheap servers just beware whatever they do will be under your name.

You could maybe make something to utilise their API to allow people to manage them?

You could also use the outsource option if they already had their own online.net login.

  • How much money?

  • Whats the price? What are the specs?

  • Specs here - http://www.online.net/en/dedicated-server/dedibox-kidechire

Not sure on price to be honest, it's just something that came across my mind whilst I am at work today. Would like to help people out if they need the servers.

  • I would love one for a project I'm running.
Wouldn't contain any illegal stuff, just some things I do for my work atm. A dedi would come in handy, I can pay with PP and BTC.

    How does that work?

  • STOP CREATING THESE POSTS!

  • @cassa I am offering the use of servers that I have to LET please do not spam the thread. Cheers.

  • awesome!!

    Not used it... yet

But I believe it is like technical contact at OVH, you can basically do everything with the box aside from cancel. But the box is still in the OP's name.

Still waiting on support to confirm what can/can't be done via Outsource since I found out last night IP blocks and non promo servers cannot be moved between account either.

Yeah, it would be in my name I am aware of that but there are some fairly reputable people around that I am sure would be fine. On the other hand there are some pretty dodgy people on here too!

  • Do you accept Bitcoin?

    Thanked by 1netomx
  • I might be interested to snag one (maybe up to three from different resellers) if the price has very minimal markup and you accept paypal. Though it would be mostly idle like the vps I get once in a while. I only sometimes use my vps when I have to show a client some development progress. @krs360

  • I would be interested in one myself. I already have an account at online.net and been a user of 5.99 Euro dedi for a few months.

    Will let you know later...

We have simple rules, no transfer for server to an account to another.

    this is how we work.

Guess I will have to try outsource options, they didn't clarify on the IP Assignment using that method.

  • I'd probably let them go for about 3 euro p/m.

It would need to be people that ideally won't be re installing 5/6 times per day unless this "Outsourcing" thing works well.

  • Might be interested. PM me if this will push through.

  • You cannot transfer the servers, but you can uesr outsourcing option, or pay with their API and resell the servers like Auto Snipe ;)

  • I will more than likely make use of them at some point in the future but not for the forseeable and it's a shame for them to goto waste if they're in such demand.

  • Anyone interested please PM me to let me know and give me some idea of your intended use of the server.

@krs360 so why getting one in the first place?

@netomx They will be used at some point for hosting websites/teamspeak servers, etc for friends/clan. I snapped them up while on offer. I have one which is being fully used at the moment.

I wanted to make them available for people to use in the interim as they seem to be in huge demand.

  • @krs360 I've sent you a PM.

  • @krs360 sent you a pm also ;)

  • Just let me know how will you resell.

  • How can we know you wont touch our data or mess with our server?

How can he know you won't upload child porn via a server under his name???
It's trust involved both ways, and in fact the one's reselling is at a higher risk than you.

Exactly why Online messed up here. If they were limited to 1 per customer, people wouldn't be stocking up on them just to resell, more people would get one and risky reselling wouldn't be an issue.

Online doesn't have much reason to care as long as they're sold out; regardless of the reason that they are sold out. (Not every company has morals; no idea if Online.net does, heh.)

That's true, but also, the more people who get one, the more people likely to upgrade or tell others about Online. They said themselves they lose about 2 euros per server, so if someone orders 10 servers just to resell, they're probably not gonna upgrade or bother telling others.
