List of offshore providers?

gzagza Member
edited November 2014 in Providers

Looking for a fast, reliable offshore provider. Is there a list I can find which has a list of hosts that have been around for awhile ones that aren't on any IP spamlists or anything.. managed host with something like cpanel reseller will do so i can manage domains without installing any software.

  • Not exactly what your looking for but ExoticVPS offers a decent list then run it through a blacklist checker.

    Taking a hiatus.

    That's a fake for April Fools. :)

Seriously I'd probably get one if they have something at LEB price.

    What;s offshore for you?

  • 'Offshore' what does this even mean in this context. I think the context should be more like piracy-friendly.

I dont think anywhere in the EU can really be piracy-friendly, but certain companies will turn a blind eye to it and hope they don't end up trashed in court.

Wooo, so basically the whole Europe is offshore, the question is, off which shore? Or in your dumb little mind "offshore" means simply "non-US"?

It's about the most useless term thrown around, means something different for everyone. But again, certainly you can't sweep countries across the whole Europe into the same heap and call that "offshore", not in any meaningful sense of the word.

    You're kidding, right?

Its illegal to own/host pornographic content in Singapore and its also illegal to view pornographic material.

Having gay sex is illegal and will end you up in jail. Its more of Nazi state here but its still okay.

I know this is problem. We have many VPS providers in Netherlands who try to market themselves as 'Offshore' only to find a court order to shut them down a few months later.

It seems to me to do this you need to be outside of Europe, North America, parts of Asia and parts of Middle East. There are very few well-connected jurisdictions that could be considered 'offshore' (in the lawless sense of it).

  • Exotic not meant offshore

    Something like Ecatel ?

Trying to be positive and friendly :)

  • NL, Luxembourg etc sounds like a fake offshore

Probably only BRICS members only real offshore in the World

    Yes, I can boogie

  • So which country should I go for? we're not hosting anything Illegal its more of a grey area

  • Checkout bargehost, they're literally offshore.

  • i just need a host that will ignore takedown requests etc.

  • If you have budget, go for ecatel. Unmanage NL dedicated server. Comes with free direct admin &/ free windows server datacenter.

CEO of PT. Rokok Kopi Internet Tidur Tbk.

  • Thats an overkill as i only need reseller hosting

  • Depends what you plan to host but you have to keep in mind that the company matters more than the country.

ecatel, privatelayer, banhof... come to mind in eu

russia might be a good place for you though maybe? vstoike had what did seem like a good dead here few days/weeks ago

Unless you are living there, but that's why offshore always depends

Countries are not "offshore", specific providers are

I know Ecatel (Netherlands) , Server.lu (Luxembourg), Hostkey (Russia/Netherlands), Portlane and Gridlane their VPS provider site (Sweden), Voxility (Romania)

I refer "offshore" as DMCA ignore providers

As far as experiences, I know 3 filesharing sites that were targeted by local copyight organization and it also appeared in the news, 2 years ago, and some sites here got in trouble and got suspended

They moved to other hosts, I know 2 of them are with Portlane/Gridlane and other is with Hostkey

  • OP wants leb price right? @jamaica's vstoike.ru or @yourserverse's yourserver.se should fit.

Speaking about yourserver offer... not sure about Sweden, but Latvia definitely isn't a place where you would want to avoid DMCA takedowns, furthermore not in a DC which is operated by state authority...

  • We are ignoring DMCA, but we've got own laws. But most likely till you will not host child porn, selling drugs, hacking or ddosing other hosts - everything will be fine.

Every country has their own laws: drugs, porn, copyrighed materials, spam, hacking, etc. It depends on what you're going to host.

  • why u hostin illegal things?

I hope you have a good deal for the Black Friday :)

  • if you're hostin illegal files just go with limestonenetworks, they'll also give info to FBI while u r at it :D.

Hostkey has terrible support, I waited 5 hours + for a reply and it's not even helpful.

They even closed the ticket without replying.

Ecatel network is bad, has a lot of outages last year but this year it's okay. Support is slow but better than Hostkey.

Voxility kick me out because of DMCA, don't trust them.

Maybe you advertise at the wrong places. I don't think LET is attracting so many heavy abusers, maybe email spammers but not people that to serious crime.
