Cheap yearly LEB in RU/UA?

Hi!

Do you know any good provider that would have a nice offer for a yearly LEB in RU/UA? (specs don't matter much, anything small and stable is fine)

I remember vstroike's offer (http://lowendtalk.com/discussion/28831/vstoike-ru-russian-federation-5-for-512mb-mem-and-30gb-space/ & @Profforg 's post http://lowendtalk.com/discussion/comment/623067/#Comment_623067)

Is there anything else to consider? Any cheaper/better/other alternatives?

Thanks!

    Hi.

Thanks for mention. In Russia yearly deals is rare.

The most cheaper in Russia is http://berivds.ru/ which have ~1,2$ per month plan.

Others (from 3$ per month) ones is only the ones from my previous post, which you mentioned. As i know, none of them offer yearly deals though.

  • berivds is in Tomsk. I tested it for dns. You get about 1mbit down and 1 up at this location. Not much you can do with those speeds.

Was this international traffic or inside Russia too?

    Hello,

I suggest you take a look at http://hostdb.ru/ - there you can the main Russian providers that offer VPS/VDS services.

I have used Netplace.ru services, which are located on the Rostelecom network. The network quality is quite good.

This is not a place no spam, really :)

All places at the "list" website you mentioned is payed. Only expensive ones there.

The provider you mention is not low-cost. There are a lot of expensive providers, there are no point to mention any of them at LET :)

@Profforg, of course I don't spam but you are correct too :) That list will be useful to find some providers, but I am aware that most don't fit the LEB price criteria. Then, the option would be to check Searchengines.guru (web hosting section) to view actual offers.

The NetPlace offerings would fit the OP, as their VDS-0 plan is under $5 but it is not like $2-3 USD.

It is a very stupid place to find hosting. Most adequate offers is not listed there. It's rare to see good hosting-provider. Also adminsitrators of that resource are complete dumbs. They ban everyone for nothing. There are just a little group of people who pay administration (with money or services) or got some approval to be whitelisted and stay there, they can usually do anything they want and spam a lot. Anyone who critic these payed/approved got banned. Here's a lot i can tell about searchengines. It was build by Yandex.Ukraine workers which were dismissed. After that they use tricks they knew at work (at Yandex.Ukraine) to boost their website in search. It gives them visitors and money for advertisments.

I am compltely against such resources like WHT and searchengines. They fool people with payed offers. LET is the best place to find a hosting provider.

It's 5.5$ and OP already know cheaper offers, so he search for more cheaper, not more expensive...

  • cast @rm

  • Recommend try infobox.ru - they offer yearly basic package. Cheapest quality provider in Russia based in St.Petersburg and offer two locations also in Krasnoyarsk Siberia

Sorry I know more about Japanese providers, than I know about Russian ones :P
As in, never actually used any of the Russian ones myself.

Vstoike leaves a good impression, maybe you could ask @jamaica if they can customize a plan for you.

Wanted to mention https://hosting.reg.ru/vps/, but their cheapest plan is ~$3 for 128MB of RAM, 2GB disk Xen, which at 10% yearly discount comes out to about $31/year; instead of that you can get a massively better bang for the buck even with VStoike's stock plan which can be paid at $38/year for 512MB KVM with 30 GB disk (not to mention if they customize the plan for you to some lower specs).

  • Thanks for your messages.

Vstoike sounds great; @jamaica could do something a little bit cheaper with half the specs of his initial post; their network seems quite good so it's probably worth trying.

Not bad, did you try them/heard positive things about their service?

Yes course I tried them. Stable quality provider. Nothing bad about. If you looking for VPN, they only support TUN/TAP on basic OVZ will been enabled trough request

  • @ben78 jamaica is here to help you! :)

    Ok, so vStoike can offer:

    -38.1$/Year for 1core/512MB ram/30GB disk space/3TB traffic.

    -29.2$/Year for 1core/256MB ram/10GB disk space/3TB traffic

    Any low bandwidth plan?

  • @World
    Sorry, no.

We almost doesnt care about bandwith because we are ISP. The only reason we limit traffic - 1% of our customers which are trying to generate 10-20TB/month for 4.8$.

    That's not "fair".

  • I 've been with ITLDC, their support is nice, and the speed is good enough.

    @ddeineka

  • Try FirstVDS.ru (aff) it is started from 149 roubles which is about $3 per month.

  • Only beware, most of RU based providers not allow TUN/TAP on cheapest OVZ VPS.

  • Yes, I've got one of those cheap openVZ and it hadn't tun/tap.

  • Thanks guys.

Sounds like vstroike is the best deal, as it's KVM and as it seems like they have a pretty good network...

Thanks for the recs and urls though, I'll check everything for sure!
