You have to agree to the ToS of online.net. Forbidden: Warez, illegal torrenting, TOR, spaming, hacking, cracking, network penetration, DDos, (child) pornography, IRC etc.
You will only get root access. If you want to install/reinstall an OS, reboot etc. I will do that for you over the panel. I can do this actions for you within 24 hours. You have to know what you do since I will not have the time to give you support or do panel actions all the time.

You can't use this offer if you depend on the machines for a longer time period but I don't know how I could regain access if I do not set a deadline.
I have plenty of credits left with linode to cover costs for new projects for the next six months but it would be nice to keep the option to switch back to my lowcost machines if I need them in future. Any suggestions maybe?
I am not a law expert but I see no problems with that. I will be the holder of the servers and will only give access to other users which should be my concern as long as I and my user will obey the ToS.

He's not transferring servers away to other person but renting hosting service.
I thought you were selling your servers and transferring ownership to them. Anyway, that still sounds shady. I would rather spend the extra couple bucks to have full control server instead of having to do deal with you when something needs to be done.

Oh yeah so we all start racing for good VPS offers and then resell them here. If you don't need them, don't order a ridiculous amount of servers in the first place and keep them available for others. Somebody said "This is why we can't have good things" and it's true, this sucks, this shouldn't be a platform for people 1:1 reselling their stuff. but why do i care anyway..

What if someone uses it to spam or host/do illegal stuff, what will you do when your account gets suspended permanently. I would never take such a risk.. You could do the more honorable thing & cancel few of the servers, making paying for them monthly a tad easier..
Indeed, the abuse will get in your name. All of them will be suspended/terminated including the users which you rent them to without being guilty of anything. This is a big mistake, dont do it.
Imagine a terrorist group took your server send some emails to some govt. Dude you are fucked.

I understand all you guys, but I think we have enough trusted users out here which would use the servers in a normal manner.
However I realised that the trusted users allready have plenty of servers so I contacted some friends in my faculty which I should have done beforehand. You are right, it was a silly idea. They are happy to rent them. so there are in good hands.
