About us: We've been in the hosting industry since 2012. Defined Code Ltd is a small company based in the Midlands, United Kingdom. We own our hardware in the Netherlands and have personally visited and installed it in the datacenter we colocate at in Rotterdam, Netherlands (Netrouting). With the dedicated IPv4 plans we are using rented hardware at OVH in Strasbourg, France.

NL Datacenter information: Netrouting is housed in an ex-HP building meaning it has top security. It's a carrier neutral datacenter in Rotterdam with over 11000 sqft of datacenter space, there is 240gbps+ of external network capacity.

Hardware: We currently use HP hardware with the latest Intel Xeon E3 CPUs (v3) in the Netherlands. You should not expect the "Mini" VPSs to outperform a full SSD node, however we try our hardest to deliver a quality you will enjoy for the price. For our dedicated IPv4 VPSs we are using E3 CPUs and a PURE RAID SSD setup. In France we also use E3 hardware with a pure SSD setup with RAID.

About our NAT IPv4 VPSs: These "Mini" servers do not come with a dedicated IPv4 address, instead they share an IPv4 address and you are assigned 21 ports on it. 1 port for SSH and the rest for whatever you want (VPNs, web servers, you name it!). This means that when you host a website you will have to append a port to the end, these are randomly generated and you can view yours in your control panel.

Good news IPv6 support is now available. We can allocate you native IPv6 addresses as and when you need, just drop us a ticket after you've ordered.

New launch of the 256MB Mini plans (with added bandwidth (!)) and also the final stock of the standard OpenVZ plans. The mini plans in France (featured here) all run on a pure SSD raid setup!

At the minute we just accept Stripe and Bitpay. Stripe is a proven, very secure option and all payments are token over HTTPS and we store no card details on our infrastructure.

meaning it's cheaper than paypal :D

  • c1bl said: No Paypal option?

    Still for developers only.. ;)

Nope. I believe the majority of people with internet access also have access (maybe not directly but via a parent etc) to a credit/debit card.

PayPal is actually cheaper when doing high volume, it's not that.

100mbit unmetered allows you to use the full 100mbit port for the whole month (33TB of transfer) but the port itself is burstable to 1gbit.

  • I see that you are low on stock for NL location - must be a in a good demand:) Do you have a NATed 256MB VPS in that location somewhere in a secret stash?

Thanks for checking, highly appreciated! It would be also fine if you have a 128MB VPS - just need that for VPN

  • Site is down. Also my NL VPS is down.

There was a networking issue for ~1 hour. Everything is back online now. Apologies!

  • Yes, it was very short downtime. All things are working fine now. Thank you for great service! :)
