looking for hardware

edited October 2014 in Requests

I am planning to buy a server and co-locate it with a DC whats the most required location you have in mind. Anyone here can who may know someone / is currently selling a HP / Dell hardware within $2.5k please let me know.

Configuration requirements as follows

  1. 2x / 4x 6c 12HT processors
  2. 72~128GB ram
  3. 4x 1TB SSD SAMSUNG EVO 840
  4. LSI MEGA RAID CARD
  5. BBU + CACHE VAULT

I'll co-locate it with any datacenter which is providing a decent price and also depending on client's interests.

  • INDIA

  • Colocate with M247.

  • It really depends on the project sometimes you already hae lots of stuff for a project setup in one loction and then your looking for a new host close to there but meets new specis or price.

  • North Korea

thats gonna cost around 3k excluding shipping I guess although 1TB SSDS are like $300 to $400

Cache Vault or BBU! Cache Vault only needs capacitors no BBU.

Not for this price, at least 72GB RAM new costs around 6-700€. One HP 8GB module costs around 80 to 100€ on big sellers not from HP, Dell has the same prices. One EVO costs around 330€, makes 1320€. Two 6x Cores E5-2630V2 for 1000€. Fast LSI raid controller and Cache Vault around 700€. Chassis, redundant power supplies, IDRAC Enterprise, Rail Kit,...1000€. Calculate with at least 5k€.
