Thought us nerds would love to see all brand new router and switching gear from Juniper and Arista that I just racked yesterday for testing and integration into software.

Mmmmm.... Junippperrrrrrrr

1x Juniper MX104 - Redundant RE's, 8x 10Gbps Line-Rate Ports, 1MM IPv4 Routes in FIB

2x Juniper QFX-5100-48S - 48x 10Gbps, 6x 40Gbps!

1x Arista 7140T-8S - 40x 10Gbps Base-T, 8x 10Gbps SFP+

6x Juniper EX3300 - 48x 1Gbps, 4x 10Gbps SFP+ (not pictured)

    So much sexiness.

  • Will this help stop the consistent packet loss I get?

No, because you aren't hosted with me. So no worries, your packet loss isn't going anywhere!

    12x 40Gbps ports total!

  • How much on est have you spent for all those? :)

  • A little above $50,000 with shipping

  • Pure hardware p0rn. Thank you for sharing.

  • Hardware p0rn, i'm horny now ;-) And a little envy.

  • The AFO (Airflow Out) QFX-5100's have Orange fan casings v.s. these AFI (Airflow In) with blue.

I had to spend a bit of time deciding if the color made me want to change which direction they are racked in the rack, lol.

Orange would look cool yes, but you wouldn't see it since it would be inside facing the back of the rack -- but blue would be facing into the cold row and be highly visible from the front of the rack -- plus it would give me more space to do wiring in the back of the cab.

And finally the additional modules for the MX have arrived. Redundant RE and 2x 2-Port 10GE XFP modules!
