Yes, I've tried to spin some droplet at nyc, sf, but still blocked (can open hulu website, but not allowed to watch the movies). Long time ago, Iniz and securedragon also blocked.

The GO option keeps disappearing for me when I select Centos 6.5 ...

James F.: Sadly, the system requirements for CentOS have been raised high enough that it is no longer an option for creating a server of that size. This change was made several months ago by the CentOS team. We had to follow suit in removing the option instead of allowing customers to run servers that did not meet the minimum specifications.

James F.: I believe in our environment it was stated it would not be an option. I do not know any more than that as it was unfortunately a cloud engineering team issue.

Added a few quotes from live chat.

[EDIT] Live support seem fast and nice.

  • I guessed it was probably to do with system requirements.

  • Hi Everyone!

Thanks for the great feedback, here are some responses:

    1) AUP -- There is stuff there that doesn't make sense, planning to work on it tommorow.

    2) Canada - Limited capacity because our extra capacity didn't get there by launch. Its there now, but its damaged. We are working to see what we can turn up.

    3) CentOS needs 512M minimum.

Hope I answered most of your questions!

Yeah I'd like to know what I can/can't do on boxes. Thanks.

Also it is possible to suspend the VPS for the current month if you go over 1TB/s instead of charging for extra data?

Looks like they dropped the call requirement? I was setup instantly without a call. And in Canada-East-1, so looks like they fixed the stock issue as well.

    Super quick reinstalls too.

  • Picked one up. Can't beat the price for $0.99 / month

  • @Jar I think they're limited to 1 per person.. unless they've changed that now?
