I have a support ticket in with Atjeu about this.
Could try installing locales-all, then installing localepurge and removing ones you don't need. Not sure how well that would work though, but it's an idea.

Got one for me. Runs with 5MB RAM and 24MB cache with debian 6 32bit.
When I no longer have a headache, ill quickly compile a version of MineServer with 50% of it stripped out.

Yeah, so a server probably won't work very well, unless you can train your users to use a port other than 6667.
