Hey,

After 123Systems and BlueVM vent down again, the page shows this:

http://bluevm.com/

New Wave NetConnect Acquires Blue VM Communications
We’re excited to announce another addition to New Wave NetConnect LLC, the company behind market leader ChicagoVPS, has recently acquired the assets of Blue VM Communications.
As part of our pre-purchase review it was decided that most efficient and effective way to improve the Blue VM customer experience was to wind down the existing Blue VM infrastructure and incentivize customer’s to switch to ChicagoVPS.
Blue VM's existing services will remain for at least 10 days to provide for an easy transition for all customers.
We look forward to serving you soon!
Thank you,
New Wave NetConnect

It's fake, site got hacked or something. That page is hosted on 000webhost!

199.21.112.9 should be the old IP if you want to add to hosts file.

How come I actually always thought BlueVM = CVPS = CC? Now what I always thought is real. Hah! So before it even happened I already know about it. I know it would happen once and already called them a CVPS/CC company. Not on drugs but this is darn freaking weird. JK ;)

    @linuxthefish Yep --> 31.170.162.168 000webhost/Hostinger scamish bullshit

    Old cached IP: 199.21.112.9

    Domain got hijacked

    https://199.21.112.9/

  • Now hacked feathur access, too. 10 minutes before, feathur access was OK, I logged in and see my boxes there. Now, it leads to 000crappyfreehost. I wonder how they hacked , their registrar is enom (before was godaddy, as of whois history),

  • Well this is going to suck for them.

  • Hey guys, "for immediate release" in the low end vps industry is GVH's thing.

    Where's the trademark filing?

    Thanked by 1GIANT_CRAB
  • Looks like the domain's nameservers were changed to 000webhost. Since the original servers are still up I would surmise that their domain provider was just hijacked.

Maybe an aggressive customer who was turned down by PayPal's chargeback?

    for immediate ethos

I need to see your paperwork for that trademark sir. Otherwise, file your paperwork and check back in 6-8 weeks.

  • Hey all,

We've been aware for hours. A statement will follow soon after we complete our investigations and the issue has been resolved.

    Thank you.

  • But you are still moving the infrastructure to 000webhost, right? ;)

Good job guys. I'm not sure how these hosts keep getting hacked, or get their DNS removed, panels taken offline, etc; it's happening far too often now. Someone highlight the BlueVM people, I forgot their usernames here on LET. Oh and, @CVPS_Chris so you can deny involvement if necessary.

@GoodHosting BlueVM already replied to the thread.

  • Probably just a good social engineering attack. I have a sneaky suspicion that I know exactly who, too.
