Need WHMCS to provision external resources

Hello, I need a preferably hosted WHMCS solution & license to run my billing/provisioning/sales site. Reseller accounts that include a license probably won't work as it will be licensed differently (I think?)
Thanks!

@wych on their website it says "License only valid on the TurnKey Internet network." Does that mean that WHMCS is only allowed to live there or that I'm only allowed to resell their hosting? Apologies, this will be my first time using the system...

You can only host it on their network, most companies only offer internal licences.

You can however have servers or services around the world that are managed by WHMCS.

  • @mkk the license can only be used on their network (hosted) but you can external servers to it (cpanel, vestacp, etc) from other networks. That's the only limit in an internal license from whcms.
You can resell the hosting from the provider you got the license or you can sell hosting from another server/vps/reseller account you have.

What is your opinion of http://skynethosting.net ? they do a $9.95 /month package that includes free WHMCS. Support seem quick to answer in contrast to AcclaimedHost which I think has been abandoned or something...

I used Skynet for a while, and their service was okay, but the support was kinda iffy.

I m with Turnkey Internet for 1.5 years, using their internal WHMCS to sell web hosting of their reseller account, and other reseller accounts I own.

No issues. For $7.5 a month, it was a good deal for me. It still is and works with a great uptime. Support is also nice. They are reliable.

  • What's the link to order that $7.50 TKI plan?

  • Oh its a legacy plan dammit

    Just don't get DDoS'd.

It was their 2012 Black Friday deal. I believe currently $23.99/mo

I did, booted out with a corrupt backup. Not one of the best experiences I have had with a host.

    Sorry to hear that.

I am with them for more than a year and a half, uptime is around %99.8 according to Pingdom. I am satisfied for the penny I pay.

I had extremely bad experience with TKI. But that was 2 years ago, maybe they've changed now. I got hit by some random DoS/DDoS (not enough information) so they booted me out. I had to go through a shit load of trouble to get them re-enable my VPS to take proper backups of some things. If I remember correctly, I had to request to talk with their manager, due the support not being helpful at all.

Similar to my experience then Alex...

I was shocked at the little amount of information relating to the attack but at the time was too busy dealing with the fallout to chase it up.

I think I might be leaning towards https://clients.ezpzhosting.co.uk/cart.php?gid=16

Dedicated IP and free SSL for 10 GBP sounds good. Not much bandwidth but don't need more really

Just be warned that you could be put on a Oversold server and downtime...
