December, only time I've run specials in the past, expect something similar this year to last

    OMG!
I think I will grab one for one month to see how it goes.
Already have a box and is just fantastic.

About 2 weeks, working on respiring the old node with adding a raid card, and it takes about 2 weeks to migrate the 4tb of data

The KVM ones are in these new processors?

Sweet! Hostigation is a host I recommend. I have two VPSes with them at present.

Just curious - does cPanel charge more for KVM-based VPS licenses?

    4TB of data = 4,194,304 MB
    2 weeks = 1209600 seconds

    4194304 / 1209600 = 3.46 MB/sec...?

Millions of tiny files, rsync hates those

I've also been curious about this.

  • @miTgiB : still waiting for my vps - more than 2 hours. I think they didn't do it automatically.

Did you read your order confirmation email?

"You will receive an email from us shortly once your account has been setup. Orders are activated between 8am and 10pm Eastern."

Absolutely not! cPanel charges less for Virtuozzo/OpenVZ licenses. ;)

Man, another question. The 128MB plans are hosted in these E3v2 babies?

  • miTgiBmiTgiB Member

Yes, the newest nodes have these v2 cpu's. Now as older accounts fade away their v1 space will naturally be resold, and I have no desire to retrofit the nodes with v2 CPU's, but right now, everyone is landing on the v2 nodes.

Any news on the availability of the backup plan?

Been moving the data back since Sat, once that is done will allow signups again.
