Touchscreen monitor for Windows 8

So, after reading a lot about Windows 8 today, I'm wondering if I should pick up a touch-screen monitor. Looks like a lot of Windows 8 is centered around touch, and Metro.

Good idea?

To be honest I'd call a tablet a better investment for that kind of functionality. There's just something awkward about a stationary device with a touch screen, keyboard, and mouse. Perhaps that's just me not thinking outside of the box.

Oh I'm sure Microsoft will find a way to twist your arm within the first year.

Far more expensive, and far less powerful.
