one cpu core
5GB hdd
5GB Bw

should be fine

    Hostigation has a Mikrotik ISO available on the KVM side of things :)

    Any KVM provider should be able to get this uploaded for you.

    I do offer the ISO, not the license, so unless the client providers their own, I always suggest Vyatta over MikroTik

    you obviously talk about vyatta community edition, because the commercials cost is ....ouch

    what I want to do is

    • Build a dedi with virtualization
    • Create multiple vmachines with internal ips
    • Have permanent vpn connections from routers & temporary vpn connections from phones and tablets connected to mikrotik
    • People working on the vmachines with the private ips

    do you believe vyatta will make my life easier?

    Easier? Doubtful, cheaper, yes. Vyatta will do everything you require in the community edition, MikroTik is a 1 time $40 license, so not terrible either.
