Height/Dimensions Boxed/Stock Intel Xeon X5650 Cooler?
I'm building a 2U server for a local company. The CPU I'll be using is the Intel Xeon X5650. Does someone happen to know the dimensions (and especially the height) of the stock/boxed cooler? I can't find anything about it on the web. I'm starting to hesitate if it even does come with a stock cooler when ordering the boxed versions... Desktop processors usually do..
Thanks

Intel sells 3 different "thermal solutions" for the 5500/5600 series processors. This is the relevant website page, with pictures and a link to the mechanical datasheet:

edit: if you are not a Intel reseller, this is the link to the public datasheet: http://www.intel.com/content/dam/www/public/us/en/documents/design-guides/xeon-5500-5600-guide.pdf
But the boxed version does include a cooler, right?
From my experience, the Xeons that come with coolers come with a 2U cooler, so it should fit in a 2U chassis.
Check whether it comes with one though - it's not because it's boxed that it does.
The boxed Intel Xeon processor 5500 and 5600 series does not ship with a thermal solution included in the packaging. You must buy the cooler as separate item.
Thanks for the replies. I bought a seperate cooler, just to be sure
