    Forgot to add this...

    By default 80 port is open, however, it will be automatically blocked if you host website with it.

    Not free. It is a little expensive to get the ICP license.

    CPU: 1 Core (Fair Shared) .......

  • MuZoMuZo Member

    Downgrade to 0Mbps (Shared Bandwidth, No dedicated IP): -$3.76 /Mo

    How does that work?

  • StarryStarry Member, Host Rep

    @MuZo
    If you have another vps with bandwidth, you can use this one via internal network to do some stuffs like load balance...

    @noqqkk
    Does it have any problems?

  • so it can't be used like ipv4nat or ipv6 only?

  • StarryStarry Member, Host Rep

    @andrewn
    No.

  • Glad to see Qcloud entering low end market.

  • Be extremely careful with this provider. That's all I can say for now.

    If you can't say anything sensible or offer any proof of your bad(?) experiences, then better just shut it and stay quiet. For all we know you could be a competitor trying to stir up FUD.

  • OK fine, here it goes:

    I had a VPS with StarryDNS from China, VPS was in Hong Kong. I was paying by Verified PayPal by Subscription (each month they deducted the fee automatically).

    One week ago I checked my VPS (which I haven't checked for the last 2 months since I had data uploaded on it which didn't need daily usage) and guess what, my VPS was removed. I checked my PayPal account and email and I had invoice even for the ongoing month.

    When I asked their support what did it happen, they said they had a PayPal mess-up and that my VPS was deleted. In my client panel my VPS is still active and my invoices are all paid in advance.

    When I demanded an explication they blamed their API system and refunded me the 2 months that I have been paying for the service but while the VPS was deleted.

    I asked for my data back or at least access to copy it and they said "if you didn't check your server for 2 months it means data not important for you".

    I have all emails and invoices. This company is a complete scam and extremely bad service and customer support.

    StarryDNS - pure chinese scam with no business ethics.

    Well, that part is factually correct.

    franky55 said: refunded me the 2 months

    Oh if only all "scams" were like that.

    The reasonable thing to do from your part would have been to contact them the next day or so after it got deleted by mistake, and then maybe ask for some free credit for the inconvenience of restoring from your daily backups.

    Stop talking out of your arse. "Factually correct"? They deleted my VPS and the data found on it even though they continue to charge me and DIDN'T EVEN INFORM ME. Factually correct? Because I haven't logged in my VPS for 2 months it means the data there was useless to me? Get your facts stright, you're completely off.

    Because our WHMCS did not get paypal ipn after you made the payment 2 months ago, and we don't check the payment regularly, your vps was terminated by the system after 5 days suspension. You are charged because of the paypal subscription.

    We are sorry that we cannot get your data back after 2 months. You should contact us once the server was unreachable instead of after 2 months.

    Your Paypal subscription paid 2 months, but please check that we've refunded you 3 months, not 2 months, I think that's all we should do.

    So basically you admit you had a system problem and kept charging people their PayPal monthly fee but deleted the VPS (without ANY notice).

    You brag about refunding 3 months but you deleted all my data and your answer is my data was not important since I haven't logged in for 2 months. Nice, typical Chinese business practice.

    Bunch of incompetents, your servers must be checked daily to check if its still there.

  • @Jylee any chance you'll be adding more stock on the 512MB china-vps plan?
