Hi I need to move my kvm (windows) vps to another host since virtovo closed all their locations. I want a host to price match or offer similar specs that I currently have with Virtovo

100GB Space
2GB Ram
4 TB Bandwidth
6 Cores (shared)
KVM
Must allow windows to be installed (I have my own license)
$7/month or I can pay quarterly if your host is old & reptuable

Thats a lot of respources. I'm sure GVH could do it though I am not sure whether they have KVM or Windows support.

Mighty hard to beat. You might want to lower the specs or increase the budget.

Raise the budget and go Winity, that offer is mighty hard to beat.

Whats the usage policy on those 4 cores?

fair share, of course. No cpu intensive apps 24/7.

    "I have my own licence"

Will pay £300 for a licence but only $7 for a server to run it, legit

I didn't really pay the license since I got it for free from dreamspark

    d. No commercial use. Except as provided below, you may not use the DreamSpark Premium Subscription software for commercial purposes or commercial software application development, publication or distribution unless you first purchase the appropriate commercial license(s) for the software.

I believe commercial use is like if you're intending to use it to run a business or make profit out of it which don't apply to me since I'm only using it for personal use and not gain profit.

What do you do on it if you don't mind me asking?

  • My brother also have dreamspark account but i don't like windows for server at all.I like linux more in servers compared to windows. There is nothing to learn about windows also i don't like new windows UI.Windows is RAM and CPU intensive and cause a lot of lag.

I can offer you the following Xen HVM (Windows) in Miami.

    4 cores equal share

    4 GB Ram

    85 GB Raid 10 (8 disk)

    2 TB Bandwidth

    1 x IPv4 (2nd free with justification)

    IPv6 on demand.

If you are not so dependant on disk space I can do a 2GB plan for €5.00 p/month: http://lowendtalk.com/discussion/29365/inception-xen-pv-hvm-lin-win-bsd-from-1-49-p-m-uk-nl-usa-openvz-nl-uk-usa-it-jp-3-00-p-year
