Some countries that don't have a state church have religious education and ethics as a subject in school.

Oh, I know when I was at school, if you wanted to pray, you have to go into a little room todo it. Doing it in public was seen as strange.

Well, then that was a failure of the management of the school. Because students are not forced to have religious education. You can opt-out. But that depends on the state you're in in Germany because primary education is not part of the federal jurisdiction. AFAIK the northern states are quite liberal. When I was at school you could choose between religious education (either roman-catholic or protestant) and ethics/philosophy.

In the UK, you can "opt-out".

Sure people could opt-out. Anyone who didn't want to have religion could go to philosophy. But religion was quiet interesting and we always had nice discussions, so why opt-out? :D

Most Christians are poor debaters and atheists circle the wagons, attacking in packs on one Christian. Try debating somebody familiar with apologetics and leave the discussion with your tail between your legs.

  • @Daniel said: There's still bible groups at school?

In the US, students can lead religious discussion/etc. And of course in private schools anyone can.

First part: check. Second part: well, check for them...

Keep in mind that we didn't discuss anything related to religion, if god exists or so. Noone would have been so stupid to try to defend the existence of god in a discussion.
Mostly we talked about ethics (i.e. abortion) or socialism.

When mexicans dare to stole our pizzas it's time for some thight immigration laws.

    Germans did it better.

Perhaps in a private school but public schools, no.

@Daniel said: In the UK, you can "opt-out".

  • The teachers in our school are not even allowed to talk about religion.

Probably another bigoted American from the Southwest who views Mexicans as some lower form of life instead of the people they are.

  • Jeez guys, I did not mean for this to turn into an ethnic war.

Has noting to do with them being "Mexicans" could have been any group of people.

So yeah, guys calm down. Sorry if you did not find the video entertaining.
