@gsrdgrdghd said: It actually seems reasonable that when running a big website you let others with more epxerience and dedication deal with the hosting stuff.

But you don't put cPanel on the box and you don't go to Hostgator for someone who is more experienced.

I've never been unable to access my email without knowing within 5 minutes, awake or not at the time. Nor have I had email activity on an important account that I didn't have set to wake me if I was asleep. Sure it's annoying, security isn't convenient. I don't have a product the size of whmcs either. That's pretty much the end of our relationship.

If only there was a good replacement!

@PytoHost It looks like HostBill really has come a long way. I like its cpanel integration for clients.

Same here, and the snail-ass banks here will actually take another 3 weeks to get me a new credit card, Thats just GREAT!!

Why do you people wave your credit card numbers left and right anyway? Why don't you just use paypal instead?

@liam said: Sorry to derail but @liquidhost, I believe liquidweb have trademarked the use of 'liquid' in the hosting industry.

I would explore this further to prevent problems from happening.

Started doing a research now. Thanks for pointing it out. Will actually even open a new thread for this, asking for some suggestions.

Yeah, exactly why I'm pissed, won't have access to that bank account for a few days. I just ordered something this morning for which they only authorized the card, so I'm going to have to cancel that order or something.

Seriously? Protection against charge backs, fraud protection, generally don't like paypal. I'm not worried about anyone withdrawing money, as my bank will cover it. It's just going to be a pain in the ass to cancel the card and wait a few days for a new one.

Im in Pakistan and Paypal is not supported here, only thing I can do is use a CreditCard :S

    You are.

    LicensePal gives WHMCS your details.

@Mon5t3r Oh Woops, I didn't read who it was from at first. xD

  • JeffreyJeffrey Member

Funny how in the LicensePal Email they tell me to change my password on WHMCS's site when WHMCS's SSL is down... :S

I actually wrote quite a nice bit of billing software for a LEB provider, although I would probably rewrite it with a newer codebase.

    Got to love LicenseCube @ 11.95/Mo <3

  • Never seen LicenseCube before, I might use them since on LicensePal I have to pay VAT.

  • JacobJacob Member

That's mainly why I started using these guys, They are good so far but do not have automatic License updating, You have to contact support(They usually are quick).

I have a debit card with only 20/30 Euro to just pay the services I use...honestly I'm not very prone to use the Credit Card.

It's pathetic that Licensepal has managed to email clients and WHMCS still hasn't sent a single thing.

Those aren't emails. Most clients probably don't go check the WHMCS forum and blog every day for security announcements.
