I had signed up with them using their kvm50off promo code. But I cancelled due to downtime.

Macross is extremely popular among adults. It airs at 1am, so is not watched by many children. Children will not understand the protoculture elements.
Could be aired 1 AM in the US, but Morning in Australia.
1am in Japan. Macross series haven't been localised since Macross Plus in the 90's due to rights issues, much to my chagrin.
