    hi,

I never used ip6 before and wonder if i can ssh into the vps "using a forwarded port"? is the forwarding done in user control panel you provide or visa tickets?

can i use rsync? can i wget and curl if i am inside an ssh session?

in otherwords what does "Do you understand this is a IPv6 only VPS?" mean? Sorry to sound totally new and would appreciate answers to above and if you have or other a good link or experience i can use.

    thanks and respect.

Yes once you have logged in via the account portal and configured your SSH port.

  • From AUP:

Using in excess of 15% of the total CPU and/or RAM of the shared

server, for over 5 minutes, is deemed to be network misuse, please ensure
the correct limits are set on your script, to ensure you do not break this
    policy.

    Yeah, that's awesome alright.

    From AUP:

We have not suspended/cancelled any clients under any clause in our AUP (aside from SBL abuse notices) since we began operations and are looking to change our AUP in line with statements such as that being updated or removed.

If you are an existing client we will also send an email outlining the key changes and to inform you of any policy updates.

If we ever have an issue with the load of your container we would always attempt to contact you before suspension occurs to ensure we can come to a mutual agreement moving forward with your account.

What is the usage of 20 Ports on Shared NAT IPv4 ?

You can use them as you wish?

  • Mahfuz_SS_EHLMahfuz_SS_EHL Host Rep, Veteran

No, I just wanted to know is that simply like IPv4 we use in general ??

  • i83i83 Member

Its an IPv4 address with 20 ports in an allocated range for you to map any services you want with IPv4 connectivity.

I.e. SSH can run on one leaving 19 available for other services.

Isn't that a Dedicated IP for me ?? Then, why am I limited to use only 20 Ports ??

No; if you want a dedicated IPv4 then you would need to look at our Paris packages.

You are limited to 20 ports (as its the host IPv4 address is shared) as that what is offered for our Roubaix ($6/$10) VPS package.
