LowEndCloud: DigitalOcean. Um, yeah.

Just saw this link in my a Gmail ad:
https://www.digitalocean.com/pricing
$5/month for 256MB/20GB/unlimited. Yeah, unlimited bandwidth...hmmm.
Interestingly, even at $320/month for 16GB RAM, you still only get 20GB disk.
And finally their promo video is, well...unique:

That's an interesting WHOIS, too.
I think I signed up with these people, because they had a 99%-off-your-first-month coupon when they first opened. They weren't able to offer the maximum combination of CPU and RAM, because... I'm not sure why. I cancelled it, because it was quite useless. Then they sent me an invoice for $694 or something crazy like that. Which was promptly ignored.
I've seen this a few times in Gmail too. Tempting, I have to admit, since it's in New York.
That sure is a nice way of saying 'shit'.
This is when I be "that person" and ask why you aren't using AdBlock.

@Jeffrey Those were some pathetic push ups!
They have a Amsterdam location too. Quite good for the price.
@Kairus, Well, it's pretty hard to do 100 pushups at a time like that so I will give him credit.
I wouldn't even call them pushups.
This is indeed tempting! Anyone having experiences with them besides Damian?
They seem to have the same owner as: http://www.realitychecknetwork.com/
I think the main bit of exposure that company has had is http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?t=990410 which doesn't look clever.
Cant really find / see much info about them lately and sometimes no news is good news.
I think I will simply avoid them.
Where'd that come from?
@Kairus it was on the WHT link I posted.
Ehm. Yes. Together with the private WHOIS, temptation is decreasing...
Yeah, I don't quite understand this, they were interviewed by techcrunch, so everyone knows their names, not like they have anything else to hide.
They managed to loose a business with a turn over of $3.3m in one weekend! I'd rather go with an unproven kiddie host that may come good, rather than someone who has proved they do not know what they are doing!
Yet, they still have cash to spend on Adwords...
