I Apologize
I misread you guys, there's a lot of quality on this forum and in this community, and I apologize for blowing up and insulting you in the other thread. I think part of it was I forgot why I got in this space to begin with, and I was just ready to exit. I may not get much out of working on Cvd, other than helping providers and you guys, but that's fine with me, as that in itself is rewarding.

@taipres i don't know you but apologizing and admitting mistakes is always good.
@taipres Upon reading your previous thread (which I wouldn't have touched with a ten-foot pole) I had thought "nope. no way I'll ever use that guy's site."
However, manning up and admitting your mistake goes a long way. I'll keep you in my bookmarks.
@taipres: Cool, now whip that site into something popular!
And please, pretty please, can we get rid of the .info??
PLEASEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
Here I'll throw in $10 to get you a .com any .com :P
Is v.ps registered?
@raindog308 .ps requires 3 characters.
Admitting mistakes is a sign of character. There's always room for innovation, and no rhyme or reason to how sites get popular. I mean, can you believe MySpace was the first social network to really gain reasonable popularity in the U.S.? It's a roll of the dice. You're in my bookmarks, that's all I can say.
Someone grab
cheapvpsdeals.net
for @taopres ....done
@taipres please give me your data via pm (or via email) and I'll update the registrant info. If you like to transfer away I'll send you the auth code as well.
I appreciate the responses guys, but what do you have against .info?
.info always seems kinda unprofessional. People usually just use .com, .net and ccTLDs (and maybe .org) for professional sites.
Alrighty, well the sites really for consumers and providers so i'll talk to IperWeb on his offer, having him keep control of the domain, I just want to keep everything unbiased though, that's why i've turned down free VPS's, etc...
He offered to transfer it to you (i.e. you OWN it) for free...it'll be under your complete control then. Also, one syllable is always nicer than two: see-vee-dee-dot-in-fo vs. see-vee-dee-dot-net
Yeah I got that , but he purchased it, so he can keep control. If he decides to direct it at my name servers though i'll start promoting that link. Prometeus is probably the oldest provider i've listed on my site, think their domains over 13 years old...so they're clearly not a fly by night operation, so I won't be up at night worrying cheapvpsdeals.net will be changed to a porn site or anything if it is i'll just fallback to old domain, no biggy.
Alright he pointed at my nameservers, so it should work ok http://cheapvpsdeals.net most the links look fine, I stupidly hardcoded some stuff though i'm gonna have to edit. Thanks to prometeus.
Long live sed
Good man yourself I'm pleased to see that you are now trying to make an effort to join in with the community - always a great thing!
You'll also notice that most here aren't against the idea of starting a competing blog/site. That's what the internet is about! Just be happy, smile, do you best, join in with us, and have fun!
Yes, I'm just after drinking my morning coffee so I'm a little...buzzy!!
