Random IP's or Subnet for your VPS

Im interested to know what you prefer to have own subent for your VPS or random IP's

How you want your IP's on the VPS

  • I prefer a subnet, simply because it's easier to remember the IPs that way.

    Seeing as most vps providers here provide 1 IP with a vps - In my opinion, it wouldn't make a difference for ones with single IPs of course.

    He meant that for example if you order a VPS with 5 IPs, you could either have one of the following:


    Case 1:

    45.36.53.65

    32.34.23.125

    234.112.122.22

    45.4.3.2

    5.6.7.8


    The IPs would be random, but you have 5 IPs


    Case 2:

    1.2.3.1

    1.2.3.2

    1.2.3.3

    1.2.3.4

    1.2.3.5


    The IPs will be in a sequence or forming 1.2.3.1/29 subnet.
