Intel Xeon L5410 2.33GHz - any good ?

looking to get some cheap servers, Dell 1950. what's your thoughts? buy cheap, or stay away and get something newer?

    It's ok, performs about as well as an i3 2100. So yeah for a server it will be good enough, not the best but not the worst either

  • "Good" is relative to what you want to do with it.

  • Server is almost always good but service depend on network and support too

    A newer server would be faster and use less power.

  • Don't bother. Slow and uses a lot of energy.

    Its an old CPU that burns a lot of energy. The E series CPUs are much more efficient.

  • Those are fine, I have seen them burn 800MBPS.
    The L series burn less power then the E series, E is not for Economy.

    It really depends what your looking to do with it. Its definitely a bit older.

  • Good/better/best is really relative to the application.
