Small VPS for VPN.
Hi, Currently I have been involved in FF:XIV with some friends of mine. Problem being, there seems to be some sort of weird route overload between many ISP's and Square's Datacenter in Canada. Mainly all the friends I know with issues are using Verizon Fios. Stems from a hop at Alter.net and there seems to be several threads about it, not only relating to FF:XIV. So we ran into a program called WTFast, which basically in my mind is a glorified VPN client. But it does solve the issues they are having. The program costs $6 dollars a month to use. I told them I could probably come up with a solution for a lot less.
So if others think this is a option, I would love to find a VPS in NY(NYC,Buffalo) or just north in Canada. This will only be used for VPN, looking to pay monthly only. I use to see all the 128MB deals all the time but sadly can not seem to find any. Would love to pay less then $2 dollars monthly if possible.
Stats from the game: According to WTFast, this thing is using less then 2Kb/s to play the game, assuming this is one way, Assume 4 Kb/s. My rough estimate for Bandwidth was no more then 50-100Kb/s for a couple of users on at once and around 80GB of transfer a month.
Would love some suggestions.

Are you intending for all users to hook up to the VPN, and then connect "locally?
Providers will be getting nailed in transaction fees down that low of a price. You'll find more offers if you pay yearly.
My problem with yearly is I want to test this concept, it might not work so rather then purchase something im not going to use after isn't what im looking for. That being said i'm open to any offers for monthly VPS in NY/Buffalo/Canada that allows vpn.

We're located in MA, USA which is very close to Canada and NY. Our lowest 128MB plan starts at .90/m.
@RivaCom what is the most users you would have connected simultaneously? I have had a good experience with @liamwithers's VPN service. They have both a Canadian location (don't remember exactly where, though) and a NJ location. It looks like their 100GB/month for 4.32GBP/year (~$7USD for the entire year!) promo from last year is still active: http://lowendtalk.com/discussion/17044/vpn-sh-7-year-100gb-vpn-package-17-vpn-locations. But, I think the most simultaneous connections you can have is 3 (and I'm not sure if all 3 can be to the same server). Idk if he'd be willing, but perhaps he would be willing to do a small trial or something. He's always been very accommodating when I've PMd him.
The upside to getting a VPN instead of a VPS is that you have nothing to manage (ergo, nothing that you can break and get blamed for by your friends :P). The upside to getting a VPS instead of a VPN is that you have more control over the exact configuration (if you are so inclined) and can also use it for things other than just as a VPN.
You should be ashamed of yourself for even recommending GVH to someone. Do you dislike the OP or something?
No monthly payment,LOL.
Honestly, I even use GVH. They're dirt cheap VPS, for the money you can't beat em'.
yeah you can
You sir are a twat.
If you pay though bitcoins I can make it monthly. The yearly is because paypal changes .30 per a transaction.
As per the rules:
Then you're severely limiting your options. Most small VPSs are yearly becaue of Paypal fees.

Its seven bucks. Not a major investment even if it doesn't work out.
Any other payment except monthly
Really? Where can I get 100TB bandwidth for $5? Or even the same plan I said above?
